I remember when I was in, like, six grade, my teacher had our class tell scary stories while sitting around a fake campfire (Don't ask why. I don't remember). She told a variation of this story. It went something like this:

The guy who tries to help runs up to the car with bloody hands when the woman stops at a stoplight and bangs on the window. When she gets home, she finds the killer asleep in the backseat with a knife.
