One of his teachers even told him up front that since he was black he would not get study materials that were as good as the ones the white students had. @fyadcorp Herman Cain is more of an American than I or most anybody else could ever want to be. He grew up in the segregated south and felt the sting of racism throughout his childhood. One of his teachers even told him up front that since he was black he would not get study materials that were as good as the ones the white students had. Instead of walking around with a chip on his shoulder, he took what was given to him and made himself a living example of the american dream.

One more comment, during the period when John McCain signed the McCain Feingold act and they tried to limit the amount of soft money contributions from special interests like rich corporations. I don't know how long it is going to take for people to figure out that even though they use other people as tokens (like a poor guy they let join the country club) the Republican Party Mainstream is a bunch of ROWMs (Rich Older White Males). While there are many of them if not most of them that don't fall into this category, they used Herman Cain as a way of convincing people.
