  • I noticed your runway......over here where I fly, a flat runway is a "luxury".......what was it made of? linoleum?

    :)

  • @punzalane

In fact, our "runway" is made of a kind of fabric used to make paper in paper factories. Once it''s been used for a while, they throw it away and we took it over... ;-)

  • @Alex911747 Interesting... :) Thanks!

  • @Alex911747 Wow the landscape is beautiful there , where is the field?

  • @rickashaybingbing

The field is located close to a small village called Senarclens, quite close to Lake Geneva, in Western Switzerland.

  • @Alex911747 Now speeking about the zero, I like this plane and yours looks and flys great. Can you tell me if its built good and is it made well? Im thinking of getting one there are 450.00 here in the u.s.a Thanks.

  • @rickashaybingbing

It is very easy to build and flies great. The only "cheap" part is the landing gear, read my answer above.

With my engine, it flies realistically, but I had to add about 1kg of lead to get a proper CG. You might want to consider a bigger and heavier engine, as some other guys did.

  • @Alex911747

Beautiful plane....nice flying too :) What engine did you have in it?

  • @punzalane

    Thanks! :-)

The engine is an OS 160FX, 26cc / 2 stroke.

  • @Alex911747

Thanks :) I have a super tigre G4500 lying around ...... would that be a good " bigger and heavier engine" in your opinion? :) I'll start assembling my Zero pretty soon .....

  • @punzalane

A heavier engine won't hurt for sure, as I had to add more than 1kg of lead in the nose... ;-)

I don't like over-powered models, so the OS 160 suits me well, even if it could have a little more punch in my opinion, and still stay realistic.

The Super Tigre 4500 is probably a bit overkill, but it will do the job if you can make it fit into the cowling.

  • @Alex911747

The G4500 will require that I cut open part of the cowling :( Hmmm........ Thanks :)

  • @Alex911747 Thanks ...yes, I know what you mean.....G4500 will be a bit over ...... and it will require opening up part of the cowling :(

  • Lovely, I have the same...still in its two boxes, with the optional belly fuel tank...Think I'll finally have a go at it and assemble it....I just feel like having a Radial in it..for that extra realistic sound.

I read somewhere that the retractable LG legs are fragile...Actually they look so....Did u have any problems with them?

    Lovely flying btw..bravo.

  • @modelmaker56

    Thank you.

Right, the gear legs look a bit fragile and are quite flexible for the aircraft weight...

But unlike horror stories you can read on the Net, I never had a single problem with them.

Of course, I don't land in high grass, and usually don't make "carrier" landings... ;-)

    Cheers

  • Nice
