  • 'El snorko, ahahahaha'. OMG, i almost shit my pants with that one, lol.

  • @metro20339801 Let's do the Timewarp agaaain! This is an oldie.

  • Woah, the first thing you said sounded like a voice-clip of Sean Connery

  • @GreveSparf "I'm talking about hitting the ace...at 900 yards."

~Sean Connery as Allan Quatermain, 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'

  • In the "complete 2009" mod, the Major Kutnetzov has it instead of the Fort-15 of the vanilla stalker. For me is perhaps the best sidearm in the game: Accurate, low recoil, select fire, decent damage, you can attach a silencer, and last but not least, the ammo is plentyful (9mm makarov). I would really love to have one in real life, at least a semi-auto only version.

  • OTs-33 in STALKER is great, but I have a problem with THAT gun.

Problem is OTs-33 disappear from my equipment then I move to another area, for exemple to Wild Territory.I have this same problem with FN P90 in Dark Valley.

  • @w0jciech7 Hrm. That happens with certain versions of certain mods that have certain weapons. I'm really not sure what determines whether or not that will happen.

  • Download the Supermod. Or atleast OBLost&Arsenal mod. The OC-33 in that is MUCH, MUCH better. Plus it adds in a crapload of guns, and Supermod adds in like 130+. One of them being a HK416.

  • The exposed hammer on that Pernach refuses to move when you shoot ;-;

Also, with your framerate drop using fraps, I would suggest using the Xfire Video recorder then just converting it to a Youtube uploadable file type (.wmv is what I use). I get dropped to about 30ish FPS from about 40-50 without it.

  • Yeah, the Pernach seems incomplete. And I've since had a new suped up rig built, so framerate is no longer an issue.

  • the arsenal mod ads a much more satisfying pernach.

  • The Pernach is a modernized version of the Stechkin. Its simper-to-produce slide made the gun far easier to manufacture, and cheaper, too. Like the Stechkin APS, it can fire semi-auto, three-round-burst, and full-auto but only if the stock is attached. In games, they make the mistake of allowing it to fire full-auto without the stock. It's impossible. The weapon was made for Soviet tank-corps, but since they use the AKS-74U, the Pernach has seen only limited service in Spetsnaz divisions.

  • Yes! Input! XD I can forgive that detail about the stock. I just wish they they'd either left the foregrip off or had it so that you actually use it.

  • Yeah, I agree with that, too.

Personally, I ditched the Pernach when I found it because it had too many horrific inaccuracies (as well as the slide being cemented in place and the sub-par anims).

I'm with you on the foregrip, too. It's pointless. If you notice, in OLP, for some reason it's like that for alot of guns, like the TMP (which even has pistol anims! AAAARGH!). I don't know why that is, because I left OLP before they added these new guns.

  • I'm assuming most of the SMG's and such in the game use default animations, and as you know STALKER lacks some what in the animation section. I'de personally enjoy seeing some animators re-animating the default stuff and or making new animations and such just in general or even conversions at the least.

That being said there were many times back when I used to make custom content for a HL1 mod called The Specialists where I had to make due with the animations that worked and just slap those on.

  • If they used recycled animations (which is fine), that's all the more reason to leave the foregrip off since it's removable in real life anyway. Why take the time to put an unnecessary detail on a weapon model? It's like having a bipod on an M-60 or a BAR but not being able to use it. I can understand having a folded bipod on an SG550 because it's a standard feature and it's integral with the forearm anyway. What really irks me, though, is unused folded stocks that always stay folded.

  • OTS-33!!! THOSE ARE MY FAVORITES!!

I'd love to more of those in videogames. Do you have to use a mod or something to get weapons like the Pernach or the MP7?

  • Yes, he does. It's called Oblivion Lost version 2.2

  • What Dienhoff said. ObLost 2.2. A LOT of new weapons. XD There's also the Arsenal mod but I haven't tried that out.

  • where do you get your mods?

  • You can get them off Filefront

  • I agree, it really annoys me when characters don't use a weapon properly, ie not holding the front grip in this case. Same with the Uzi in COD4, wtf would you fire it one-handed, with the stock in the folded position? I'd also like to see the hammer actually firing on the OTS-33, probably hard to program though. In case you don't know theres a TMP in the hangar in the Garbage, under the fallen wall thing. I prefer it against the MP7. Actually I just like Steyr better than H&K altogether :)

  • They might as well have left the foregrip off since it's an accessory. Marked One also doesn't use the bipod on the SG-550, but that's integrated into the forearm, so it makes sense that it would be there (especially since it's folded unlike the unused bipods on M-60s in some games). The Pernach's foregrip attaches to an accessory rail so I don't understand why it's there if they programmed the weapon to always be fired one-handed. Lack of attention to detail, mayhaps?

  • Maybe they didn't realize it's detachable. Kind of like how the "standard" M4 in COD already comes with a grip. And for some reason, no one knows that you can put various rail systems on the AK family of weapons. And the reflex sights appear to be mounted on the side rail, I'm not even sure they make something like that.

  • What's the "hangar" in the Garbage and which fallen wall do you mean? Do you mean the old factory? I lo0ked there and there was nothing.

  • Yeah, it's the locomotive factory-looking place. It's a bit hard to explain the exact location, so I made a quick vid. They say a picture's worth a thousand words, so a video has to be worth like a million at least heheh.

  • If it's for a train, is it still technically called a hangar? I'm actually not sure. In your PDA messages, they call it a factory (I think), so that's why I was thinking that it might be that. But where's the machinery and what did they produce there? Surely, they didn't tear the machinery out and bury it in those hills. }:-p

  • Not sure, honestly I just called it a hangar because that's the first thing that came to mind. You found the TMP right? Someone told me they found the M3 stubgun there, so it might be random....

  • I didn't find ANYTHING there! NPCs didn't take it because NPCs don't go down there. Maybe it's only there if you start from the begining instead of playing off a Shadow of Chernobyl saved game. But then, why would the worthless TEC-9 be where it is? OLP might as well have left the TEC-9 out and chosen something else instead.

  • Really? that sucks! I also found the M3 benelli in Borov's office of the bandit hideout and the OTS-33 pernach in the bloodsucker village near the Freedom base. Did you find those or are they gone as well?

  • Didn't think to lo0k for those weapons in those places. But I did stumble across an MP7 in the Rostok Wilds in the back of a busted truck. So you can get at least two of those. It makes sense that there'd be alternative ways of getting those rare weapons. It seems the only ones you really need are the Bizon, the TMP, and the Kriss. I still haven't found the Kriss yetzors.

  • Oh cool! I found an MP7 in that small shack to the right of the snipers close to the entrance to Rostock (coming from the bar). But for some reason the one I found was chambered for 9x19, making it pretty superfluous considering I already had the TMP and PPSH-41.

  • There's a TMP on the wall near the Duty outpost.

Requires some acrobatics to get up to though - it's near a static spawn of four bandits, directly north if you're looking from the outpost.

  • Which outpost in which region?

  • The outpost in the Garbage. You'll see a dilapidated wall somewhere near them - climb it to the top and you'll see a TMP on a ledge.

It's a pretty linear climb once you know where the wall is.

I may record myself getting it for reference, but my FPS drops a bunch when I use Fraps.

  • You mean the big destroyed building? I looked around there but didn't find anything. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot?

  • With ObLost, my nonFraps framerate is in the 20-40 range. With Fraps activated, it gets cut down to 7-14 on average.

  • When you say "wall," do you mean "gate?"

  • It's a wall near the Gate that leads to the Bar.

  • dont know if you found it yet but there is a good artifact near the swamp island close to the lab.

  • I've already pillaged Yantar to the bone. XD
