I'm sure it will be a good racing simulator like the original and kudos for all the hard work going into it but lets be honest here, the graphics are very dated looking. It looks like games from 5 or even 10 years ago. Other than that, I'm looking forward to this title.

@Topxe It's only DX9. And i love it. even tho i have a up to date PC, i prefer all the effort put in the game physics instead og pixels you dont have time to watch anyway when driving :)

Besides that. DX9 has great potential never really fully used in any game. You just wait and see. In time you will see tracks and cars from the mod groups that will blow your mind away :)

Just remember to buy this game, this company deserves all the support he can get, there are some many games considered to be driving simulators than i am not going to name but after playing RFactor i completely redefined my concept of simulation.

How many of you have spent hundreds of bucks in driving wheels? For what? arcade games? Of course not. So how about supporting the game developers that makes you feel it's worth spending all that money just for a game and buy the game itself.

I am interested in r factor 2 but have never played the first rfactor and wonder how many cars RF2 will have as well as track number ,what race types will there be,i ask this as i do remember looking into a pc racing sim a while back and was put off when i realised you pay for the game and one car pack,then you have to purchase car and track packs ,this could be ok to a point but there wasn't a great deal to choose from in terms of dlc,i want a robust driving game is RF2 the game ? cheers

@PaddyHawthorne Lot of that is still to be decided. rFactor is open modding, so the community can create their own cars/tracks, some of excellent quality, and 99% of those are free. We're planning a lot of licensed content though. :)

Looks great! Much much much better than the best looking mods for rFactor 1, which in my opinion are WSGT2, Enduracers, and VirtuaLM's tracks.

Also, just curious, will you be able to run rFactor 1 mods on rFactor 2 with little or no changes to the mod itself? It would be neat if we could have a launching pad of mods to start with where they could be improved from a baseline.

@RidgeRacerLord You'll need to do some work to get rf1 mods working in rf2, and working means they won't take advantage of some new features. So it'll be MORE work to get rf1 mods working. Our guys says maybe a week, solid, to convert a track with all the features.

@LoudestHoward These are mostly the grid fillers. We haven't announced the licensed cars (well, I'm sure most have seen the early screenshots of the Matra, but apart from that). The models shown range in spec from 66 to 69.
