2. I also remember the Red Arrows would often fly over on odd Saturdays, (at least I think it was Sat or Sun) ...Used to love watching them from my bedroom window. There used to be a pub out on the main road you were driving down & my mom worked there for a while, part-time, (evenings) . I remember the shops, though they looked cleaner back then :>) & I remember chopper bikes were all the rage; I cycled around on a yellow one. I remember the Dingles & strolling around Mill Pool lake, etc :>)
Gosh! Lived in Hindhead rd back in 1970-1972!. Used to walk to Our Lady of Lourdes via other road, passed Library, or cut across the park onto Trittiford Rd! I also remember one dusky evening a gang of us crept over the wall of the church & deep into the cemetery for a scary thrill. Remember some of the chart songs of that time & Sat morn J5 cartoons, too. Fond memories of part of my childhood :>) From there we moved to 1 Wold Walk - from there to Sparkbrook, and finally to Ireland in 1977.
