Yeah, there seems to be a curse that hangs over the film, Poltergeist. At first, I thought you were treferring to the Exorcist, but that little girl from Poltergeist is indeed dead - from an intestinal blockage that was so severe that, sadly, there was no way to save her.

this is the perfect example of what true horror is. It's not about scaring people with blood and guts, or making things pop-up, but scaring them psychologically. Make them think it could happen to them. Scare them with there own minds and you got yourself the scariest movie of all time.
I agree with OldSkool669. This movie has stood the test of time for its genre. Nothing has come close to the realism and special effects. I know these days moviemakers can do practically anything with the aid of a computer, but for its time, The Exorcist set the standard for effects in a horror movie. The storyline was impeccable, and demonic possession is something that can happen and has happened in real life. I see it at least once a year, and it never fails to scare me. Very good job!

A lot of people think this movie is, like, insanely evil and it has such a bad rep, especially from the parents of people who were kids in the 70s.... it's seriously a deeply religious movie and people don't recognize that. As great as the movie is, it honestly does not do the book justice whatsoever. The story is so moving.... people just don't know it because the special effects of the film cover it up.

i watch this movie when i was 3 ma mum said i sat infront of the tv and just watched it and never got a fright Prob thought it was tellytubbies or tweenies or something all ma mum said that she was soo scared of the film she thought i was the exorcist i said Ta Mum Real Nice!

I watched this movie when I was a kid,so I don't really remember what's the reason on blood coming out of her mouth.The only reason I could give you is because she's possessed.

A lot of people think this movie is, like, insanely evil and it has such a bad rep, especially from the parents of people who were kids in the 70s.... it's seriously a deeply religious movie and people don't recognize that. As great as the movie is, it honestly does not do the book justice whatsoever. The story is so moving.... people just don't know it because the special effects of the film cover it up.
