My neighbour has both . This Morning he took Me for a spin in the Gt-R .They are both awesome Machines , and which one is quicker doesn't really Matter , or come to my mind , not when I'm focussing on not soiling my shorts . The 3.8 liter V6 is shocking, twin-turbo's or Not . It is for this reason alone that I feel one cannot put the two against each other . but Fine cars nonetheless. My Legs are still jelly .

if u compare these two cars its almost unfair on paper. the lambo is very nice but for the price its not worth it.. if u can afford the gallardo u mine as well save up alittle more and get a murcielago, look at how hard of a time the gallardo has even passin that "piece of shit" japanese car on the straight and its almost no match in the corners. and the lambo weights 900lbs less then the gtr. the gtr is a great affordable car that holds the fastest with one of the 0-60 3.2s

GT-R is likely a bit more powerful and has more torque even tho the official numbers tells something else.

Also, this is a special edition of GTR - even more power and it also has better tires - sticky Dunlops. Then there's the short gearing. Normally, short gears are annoying but with dual clutch automatic gearbox, they're capable of quicker acceleration.

Then there's GT-R's launch controll which seems to drastically overstress the gearbox, that's why you lose the warranty if you use it...

But if you watch the enitre episode and not just this shootout, you'll see that Lamborghini achieved quicker time in the drag race.

Furthermore, even tho first series of GT-R were able to accelerate to 60 in 3.5 seconds, now it seems that the production series are not able to do it. Insideline clocked 3.8 seconds to 60 and Car and Driver clocked 4.1 with the launch control on.

Officially, the Lamborghini Gallardo Supperleggera takes 3.3 seconds to 60.
