What's the diference between R&B and rock 'n' roll??

@Telogismick R&B outfits back then were bigger bands with a number of horns while rock and roll was pretty much guitar bass and drums. A lot of people might bring up race as a factor with r&b as black and rock and roll as white music. The point is well taken but it also must be pointed out two of rocks founding fathers Chuck Berry & Litttle Richard were black.
