Hi i've been given a compaq presario C700 with a faulty screen. At a certain angle I can get it to work but not very often. What do you think the problem is and can it be easily fixed?

@Kingcookieish My sister had the same problem. A couple weeks later the screen just gave out and busted inside. The liquid crystal was leaking in her screen and now it's totally broken.

My Grandson dropped his CQ57 and messed up the LCD display. The CQ57 does not have the two screws in the bottom of the display. Is the replacement procedure the same with the exception of the two screws? Thanks for all of the info.

Excellent video, I banged my head on my compaq cq42_450TU Laptop today and screen got 100% damaged.

can someone reply to confirm, I would be needing a LED screen,

some laptop shop said its LCD screen but I am sure its a L.E.D Screen

as its written at HP website too.

cost was 78usd including installation.

The old screen which came out was from LG, the new one installed is exilient or something i don't remember exactly.

One quick comment to say THANKS! My wife broke her screen on her new laptop that was not 4 months old and was sick. Instantly we figured 400 bucks down the drain for a new laptop. Then I happened upon your video and the laptop you used in this video is the exact same Compaq as my wifes. I followed you step by step and it took me some time (I felt like a nerosurgeon) but my big clumsy fingers got the screen replaced. Again, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.
