There is NO greater eye candy than a man in uniform...especially when he is a pilot. I don't know what it is. It's also cool to see a woman pilot ( that just makes me proud to be a woman )...And the topgun theme here reall adds to it. THANK YOU for not having any Tom ( barf barf ) Cruise though. ;-)
No FARs broken. we were going 250 Knots indicated as is shown on the instrument panel right before the digital readout is shown. Also the digital readout in the cabin is shown in Mph and with our 10 knot tailwind we were showing 300 mph.
DId I miss something on the video? As a long time civilian and military pilot I didn't see anything that I would call an FAR violation. I believe that the structural limit on the Avanti is right around 250k, so it would seem likely that they didn't break any speed limits (250k indicated below 10,000'). By the way the FARs allow for aircraft that have handbook recommended speeds that are higher than 250k to go over 250k below 10,000'. We entered the pattern at 300k in some fighters I flew.
Cool video, I love the Avanti. Please upload some more. I would especially like to see more of the cabin. By the way, what is it's actual range when starting at maximum take-off weight? I have read from 960mn to 1570mn but never met anyone who has ever flown one.

Nice video. Might not want to record breaking FAR's though. Just a thought.

Just love this plane. Do the counter rotating props help the handling? Thanks for a good video.
