  • And yet, in 2012, a auditorium of South Carolinians vehemently booed Ron Paul for suggesting that the US should follow a foreign policy based on the Golden Rule.

Support a foreign policy of non-intervention. Ron Paul 2012.

  • America talks about 9/11 a lot, what about the casualties and deaths, that happened to Japan and the nukes, and the massacre of My Lai?

  • damn what the hell are we getting from doing this. i also apologize for our dumbass actions.

  • this makes me soo angry

  • This is some Saw shit, goddamn.

  • I don't understand why the American people have to apologize 40 years later. Why don't they apologize for all of the soldiers they killed? Or how about nobody apologizes and we all get along? Peons shouldn't be held responsible for war.

  • @wutdaFU3K If we'd learnt our lesson, sure. But we haven't. There's more media in the middle east, so it isn't as bad, but it is still bad in some instances,

  • @VenatusGames Who's "we" referring to?

  • @anonsteroids shut up you ignorant cunt, go lift some more weights you sack of shit.

  • I thought France started this war and America stepped in as the do with any conflict

  • @xxHarveyMoonxx are you totally serious?

  • @nolifemerc France pulled out of Vietnam in 1954, America sent forces into country in 1955. my history could be wrong, maybe they are 2 separate wars, with 2 separate reasons.

  • @xxHarveyMoonxx its more like north vs south after France lost in dien bien phu, usa created vc, then supported the south.

  • this will work :-)

  • fucking war fucking american government

  • I am quite an informed person... But can someone tell me why USA went into such a small, and strategically weak, and resource lacking country for???

  • @0salot Well the excuse they used was that they were afraid of the "Domino Effect" - they thought that if Vietnam was converted to communism, then communism would spread throughout all of Asia, the countries falling like dominos and so therefore giving a ton of potential allies to the USSR.

  • rules of war

although i feel terrible for the veitnam people

  • please correct me if i am wrong because i have had no knowledge whatsoever about the vietnam war but i heard that america attacked the country not for bad intentions because if the hadn't intervened they would've became a communist state , am i right ?

  • How the old woman live today..?

is she happy will her life today..?

  • I will give kudos to the vietnamese for their barberic technology. But my view on Nam is that the US did whatever they could and that the V.C were crazy for doing what thry did. But the americans were equally sick by killinq civillians and causing massacres in mylai an hue. Another dark spot in world history.

  • I'm from Afghanistan and live in Toronto and I think every American should read the memoirs of the young American soldiers in Nam. I read them and it broke my heart, most were young kids 18-19 and they were victims too. I am very well aware of the atrocities that occurs in Vietnam and don't want anyone to think the war was anything other than pure sin, but at the same time, if you're American and reading this, remember the brave soldiers of Nam.

  • im Australian and my grandfather had told me during war the Australians didnt like camping with the American soldiers as they were very aggressive and rowdy and just acting like idiots

  • I am American and I apologize upon the inhumane acts that the u.s. army had done to vietnam and its people.

  • @aznboi1398 well the vietnamese did follow human rigths either so it adds up.

  • @anononsteroids lol atleast he apoligiez that's rare on youtube atleast dont be a dick about him apoligizing

  • @anononsteroids cunt.

  • @anononsteroids "Amurika, #uck yeah!" eh? Go rot in Texas. I'm sure you're proud of the atrocities our "great army" as committed to Japan, Iraq, and Afghanistan as well.

  • @aznboi1398 Apologies don't mean a fuck when your country won't learn from its mistakes.

  • @aznboi1398 its not your place to apologize. You, yourself, have done nothing wrong. Apologies cannot help something like this, they cant even begin to mend any wound produced by an event like this. All you can do is be a moral and caring person and hope for the best for the future. if more people did then we wouldn't have these kinds of catastrophes. Why cant people just learn to live their lives without harming others. I cant make logical sense for the indecencies of human beings.

  • @aznboi1398 as american i am sorry to. SORRY VEITNAM!

  • @aznboi1398 you lost the war so it does not really matter. Vietnam had the last laugh

  • claustafobic people would love those tunnels :D

  • poor grand mother :( so sad... well Americans started it first by shooting innocent people..

  • @n00bszpro they all VC

Just look as they life today...

    Not thing change..??!!

  • oui....maitenent les gens d'estats-unis peuvent voir que les estats-unis est...les quelque chose terrible qu'il a fait.

  • lol, this is so much worse than getting shot. fuck vietnam guerilla warfare lmao

  • lol at the end

  • @TheTacobellstaff how's that funny...how would you like it if it were your family...hell it MIGHT happen to you and your family...search the iluminati

  • @sukamugen u mad bro?

  • @TheTacobellstaff nah i cant ...monkeys don't make me mad

  • @sukamuge dude its the fuckinin internet, calm down kid

  • @TheTacobellstaff yes, its the internet. but there is still a world out there. a woman lost her father because of a war and the least u can do is to show some respect. i understand that it may not concern u, but please be more considerate.

  • GOD DAMN!! I Rather Be Shot in the Head than to step into a Vietnamese Booby trap.

  • Don't get me guys, I have no grudges against the BBC, but they misinterpreted our motives. Yes, we did kill civilians, that much is true. It was because most of them were in the Gurilla Army, it WASN'T because "we were mad at them", NO! We didn't work that way. But once again, I'm not anti- BBC, I'm just saying they got some of the facts messed up a bit.

  • Nobody wins in a war.

  • @MobTwoEric I believe that I understand the feeling behind your post, but 'win' holds no single perspective. that said, no bank loses in any war it finances. in fact, shit is completely made up by bankers/media giants (usually one and the same people, as after all, they have to sell it publicly) just to start and foment regional conflict. and the farther it extends from the flash point and the longer it lasts, the more they like it. essentially, as long as war is profitable, war will never end.

  • Whats the Vietnamese song on this called?

  • no winners eh just so many heartbroken people

  • i gotta get me one of those pointy hats

  • @GBcrusader alrigh man, I'll officially blame it on the U.S. government... lol ;)

  • A lot of retards , this is SOUTH VIETNAM these are weapons of terrorist ,the north vietnamese army is invading!! America helped south vietnam aginst the intruders. you go into your neighbors yard - who is the murderous intruder? The USA has helped more people and nations than any other and placed ourselves in harms way. we give them financial because we are humanitarians and its hard to look at sick orphans . But they buy weapons to hurt us with it!

  • this is how you fight a country with a advance weapons, bigger economy and bigger egos.

  • im vietnamese and i know the war ended after too many riot and protestors rage in the US capital. but who the heck was in charge to send men to vietnam and execute without mercy. 3:29 dang that guy must make everyone in vietnam so proud

  • That woman's suffering was completely unbearable. May she find peace and happiness wherever she is.

  • i got claustraphobia now...

  • What this proved was that the American Government didn't know shit about the history of these people who had been fighting for decades & exposed the Military to all sorts of shit leaving them to learn things the hard way which cost many lives in return...

  • you know i feel sorry for humanity its not americas fault that there corparate corrupt government goes to war every chance they get to spend all that debt money of yours, shit if you had halliberton friends all over the place taken the cream off the top youd wanna wet your beak too right? see thats humanitys problem we take this for normal behavior, raping the world for a profit capitalism at its finest, ive done 2 tours of iraq so i aint no hippie im a realist i know what we can do to each other

  • those poor Vietnamese civilians , that's terrible

  • AMERICA...FUCK YEAH

  • i feel so bad for the old lady at the end.. it must have been devasting watching your father get shot 4 times.. poor lady...this is so sad.. ):

  • @Kataangg yeah dude... same here

  • i bet in some of the traps in that building the person tripped and got trapped and died....

  • I feel sorry for the innocent vietnam people who got caught up in the war but also for the american soldiers.. brain washed by their leaders into thinking they were fighting the right war. When infact they were mere disposable people that the old, elite would command around the jungle. War is shocking. No one in there right minds would want war... everyone knows you would have to be a psycho to want to kill someone.. that's why war is such a joke. You get brainwashed into thinking it's right.

  • what fithly ape like gooks.

  • the trap at 0:53 should be used on sales men.

  • VIETCONG=INTELIGENT WAR, USA=STUPID BULLYING

  • why did america army go there? oil?

  • @88bluebirds

We went to Nam to stop the spread of communism after North Vietnam tried taking over Indoneshia, and Southern Vietnam. We were sending supplies to the weaker South Vietnam to help them overcome the communist spread, and when that didnt work we came to help

  • well no doubt innocent people were killed as it always happened in every single war occurred in the world ever since the beginning of mankind, but it's the war that sometimes transforms men into monsters. United States always paied the highest tribute in men loss and economical efforts, to help other countries like they did in europe in WW2. My country Italy would be speaking damned german by now if USA didnt kick nazis ass out of the place. Once again THANK YOU AMERICA I LOVE YOU

  • Amazing! I'm gonna install those traps for my house's security system!

  • @carbondalekid83 you seem pretty dark what country are you from? and i mean im only just a kid i wasnt alive during the war. my Dad was and he was in it but for all i know i could have this whole thing backwards

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA EVER AND EVER AND EVER FOREVER

THANK YOU U.S. MARINES FOR YOUR SACRIFICE

over 58 thousand of young men lost in that war..

  • @belnegro1 what sacrifice, they murdered unarmed men women and children!! God doesn't bless murderering bastards. hell is waiting for a lot of marines!!!

  • hey its a good thing we tried to make vietnam a better country. my best friend is from there and he says its just filled with corruption. the government can just do anything if you have a high position if office you can get away with anything

  • You poor basterds expect us all to be terrorist just because we are american yet we only start war with people who deserve it and i guess you need to be an american to figure that out but what ever. In war the point is to whipe out the indigenous group and that icludes civilians but at least americans try to prevent there death unlike you 3rd world communists that just simply desroy everything if it goes against what one man says. Where is the "Free Will" in that? You arnt terrorists?

  • @multiplayer238 Dont know where you got your education, but "In war the point is to whipe out the indigenous group and that icludes civilian" is the definition of genocide. Plus others need to stop being Yank haters. American armed forces may be a bit cowboy in places, but they do backbone a lot of the operations going on in the world and that deserves some respect. There are too many armchair soldiers on youtube. Unless your serving or have served you cant relate.

  • @greyelement My dad, step dad, grand father, step mother and a brother have all served and i know a few officers. I'm almost certain i have more rights to relate then any of you fucking youtube trolls that cant seem to relize america is a great nation and is better then most, Sad that they need to try to bring down a great nation to make themselves feel better.

  • i'm an american. yes america is a great nation, but ur fucking stupid, nobody is trying to bring america down. america has INVADED ppl's countries when they should have minded their own business and let the country handle it themselves. You do not any more right to comment than anybody else.

  • @DespairIIIX You dink, there the ones saying that american's shouldnt comment. God clearly you cant read and this is one of those times where "You should mind your own business"?

  • @multiplayer238 lol "dink". i like that word haha

  • @DespairIIIX It's pretty chill =P

  • fucking americans, they think they have the right to do anything they want to you snd your country!

  • @nilesolma Yea blame all Americans.. not like there were protesters against the war or anything.. your comment is as ignorant as our (American) government.

  • @nilesolma I don't think that. I am american. There must be something wrong here. Oh yea...Everyone doesn't think that way or want that to be how it is. I am not a heartless person. It's not my choice to do these things our government decides. You are ignorant.

  • @Rightnut20 Its quite rare to find one like you, Rightnut.

You give me some hope for your Country.

  • @nilesolma That was then this is now. From the WW1-Vietnam war era U.S. soldiers had no Rules of Engagement it was just shoot to kill.Nowadays you will be sent to miltary prison for Cruel and Unusual Punishment, I believe.Soldiers back then didnt care for others much either they could do whatever they wanted whenever thats why there is military rape cases that are out of base. But we must respect our REAL soldiers for they are vets and made America what it is today. Not all I said may be true.

  • @rpm1096 they are still doing the same crap, soldiers murder, that's their job.

  • @cuzcatlan36 Ur just a hippy have you been to war?

  • @rpm1096 I belong to a kingdom of peace that is not of this earth. you wouldn't understand that!

  • @cuzcatlan36 There will never be peace, ever since god made humans there was war and violence you can live in your little candy land but walk outside and youll feel the real world.

  • @rpm1096 You're right, there will not be peace until this generation comes to an end. However, the real world is what we make of it. You and many have understood manhood to be about murdering others. God says otherwise. This candy land you speak of can actually be a reality within ourselves if only we chose peace within us.

  • Absouletly. America altbough does not murder in war its called self defense and also another thing called rules of engagment. If some crazy taliban basterd or some 15 year old kid with an AK-47 was on the verge of killing you your friends and family would you let them do so? I sure as hell wouldnt id kill em on the spot cuz thats how war is if you gettin shot at you shoot back. Its not murder its mankind and thats how we are.

  • @rpm1096 self defence makes sense when something comes at you unexpectedly. However, when you invade a nation, that's no longer self defence, that's premeditated agression, and if the locals defend their nation, that without question is something to be expected and natural. The taliban is in fact doing self defence against the imperialist yankees. "america does not murder" well, just ask the relatives of the many civilians that died by americans how they feel about it!

  • @cuzcatlan36 Invade? No no we are helping and the family memebers of locals that were killed by us they put a threat against our boys most likely Desert Storm were goin back there ok? In the beggining of it Saddam Hussein invaded Iraq so we went over to back up Iraq thats not us invading thats us helping or like Operation Iraqi Freedom we went over.. The locals excluding the taliban shoulda done something but they didnt cuz the local taliban invade and murdered them if they fought back.

  • @cuzcatlan36 And so we went over and killed the taliban so they wouldnt MURDER the innocent people. I do not see how you have sympathy for the taliban... For killing thousands of us on 9/11 and them walking into Afghan goverment buliding blowing everyone up with a bomb strapped to there chest. Now tell me how in the hell you have sympathy for the hodgie PIGS.

  • @rpm1096 I agree with you, all the way!!! (I know I'll get a lot of hippy flack for this) We have reasons, many reasons, for operating the way we do. I have a close friend who was wounded in Vietnam because of a mine booby trap. And I wish people would think of the other side of the story too, we were NOT authorized to kill civilians, those that were killed were involved in supporting the NVA (which they conveniently failed to tell). We were deffending South Vietnam.

  • @rpm1096 And one more thing, I wouldn't bother saying much more to all the hippies here, because they'll never understand us. They'll never even try to. This video is pure antiamerican propaganda! Even if what she said actially IS true, then it would have been because her father was involved in their resistance (a LOT of these so-called "innocent" civilians were fighting us! So DUH!!! Of course they'll get shot!), the BBC sometimes pays people to say things too. 2:48--never happend!!!

  • @rpm1096 THEY would execute US in FAAAR more cruel ways even AFTER some of us SURRENDERED!!!

  • @aabceacba If thats so may the corrupt American soldiers who did that go to hell and why Americans killed innocents is because they didnt know who was who.

  • @nilesolma You are a very very ignorant man

  • Comment removed

  • @updisho I'm not trying to offend you and sorry if I did, I just expressed a bit about how I and probably alot of people feel about Americans in this day and age. and I know it all comes down to the individual and all that shit, I'm not that ignorant. ;)

  • @nilesolma i hope you know there's a difference between the American government and the American people

  • @nilesolma well said

  • @nilesolma Actually, South Vietnam ASKED us to come in order to keep North Vietnam from invading South Vietnam. We didn't barge on in, they wanted us to help keep North Vietnam out.

  • @nilesolma America, the people don't want anything to do with these other countries... it's just our screwed up government doesn't know how to stay out of other people's business and then young men like me are forced to pay the price and get drafted to these horrible wars. If it were up to the American people there would not be such a thing as the Vietnam War.

  • Comment removed

  • vietnamese are fucking awesome to make this kind of traps.

  • same shit that happened in el salvador...

  • This is real sad. I am an American, and I find the civilian part real sad. I would never do such things to civilians, leave it to shoot at the people shooting at you rather than try to kill unarmed civilians.

  • Its war....the Vietnamese would have done the same to American citizens

  • My dads a vietnam vetran, i dont think they would take to kind to him

  • also good at freeing ppl from their own govts, feeding ppl their own govts cant, helping thm whn they get invaded rescuing thm whn tornadoes & flood hits their land, sending aid medics & money to rebuild and treat entire cities, provinces & villages & spilling blood for endless nations of ungreateful bastards who later talk shit only bcz marines killed th genocidal leader of their own nations so they are stil alive. Thn gve sanction & refuge in our country & th whole dam USA foots th bill

  • I always like the hats the Vietnamse wear.

  • Look, I understand that this is wrong. Killing unarmed civilans is not what anyone should do EVER, but I am a civilian, and this is war. None of us will understand war unless we have been in a war, or led a war, or stopped a war. I am not going to justify what our soldiers did to you at that time, but none of us will ever understand unless we were there. War is hell, and NOT just for soldiers.

  • that was really really sad when the elderly vietnamese woman told the story of the soldiers massacering the civilians. and when she pretended to be dead and the soldiers saw her father limping and shot him in the head. almost brought me to tears.

  • @grandsize56 idk i was thinking about a diff war

  • Typical yank mentality, cant find/kill the real enemy so kill a few civilians instead.

America should have a look at the war on its own streets instead of going round the world killing any fukker they like, nah wait a minuite there wouldnt be any oil or minerals to steal doing that would there.

  • Damn, these Viatnamese used ingenuity to win the war. While Americans were too busy looking at themselves in a mirror and thinking they were the best and they couldn't lose. Lol fail America.

  • i think o3o

  • @theclafe yea but america never lost a war rofl

  • @FaKeDYoo what was the out come of the vietnam war

  • I’m American (born, raised, and living in new york). And I know America wasn’t the only country fighting for the allies. There was Australia and Southern Vietnam (which wasn’t really a country . . . more a army) as well. My Grandpa had heaps of American and Australian friends. All the Australians survived, but most of the Americans died. All of us allies got slaughtered in that war - it wasn’t our type of land.

  • The U.S. won the battles but lost the war. Simple as that.

  • i love how theres no saftey equetment i mean if they pushed that guy in it would kill him

  • Resounding defeat for USA. Whole of vietnam became communist as a result.

  • Shoulda just dropped a nuke on vietnam

  • At My Lai when the 'brave' American soldiers could not locate the enemies, they started killing the unarmed civilians. They raped , beaten and tortured the poor villagers and mutilated the victims' bodies. For the mass murder over 340 to 500 unarmed civilians only one American soldier was sentenced to three and a half years of house arrest. This is American justice.

  • @twenlil lol justice in war. HAHAHA!!

  • That's the only war the Americans lost. SO FUCK OFF !!! Don't mess with Asian

  • @kuciaotopi actually they didnt lose because no one won

  • @Ruairi670 No, the U.S lost

  • @Braxton432 no one lost because no one won

  • johnson and reagan should have gotten the chair... evil war criminals

  • @SanguineBullet667 What did Reagan do?

I'd say Kennedy should get his just deserts for starting it all, but....

  • @Henners1991 I agree completely! Everyone makes Kennedy out to be a hero but he never was. he started the war

  • @Braxton432 No, France started the war. The conflict effectively began in the late 1800's when France conquered Indochina (now Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia) and the natives had to endure unsatisfactory French rule up to the point where they created the Viet Minh and revolted in the 1940's attempting independence. It was Nixon and Eisenhower that set the U.S. war-bound in the 50's when their French allies left. Kennedy just happened to be elected president just after the U.S. became involved.

  • There are way more horrific story's about what the Vietnamese did to the Americans

  • I have to say, I am impressed by the Viet Cong's military strategy. 3 men injured in one unit means that the whole unit is fucked, and not fit to carry out it's mission. Not to mention a high terror factor and crap morale. Simple traps, and effective.

  • Interesting video, i'm looking forward to go through the these scary tunnels

  • THIS IS WHY AMERICA SHOULD MID ITS MOTHER FUCKIN BUISNESS

  • @theclate in this war, i agree, in the curent war, our goverment wont.

  • @theclate Except when the world wants and accepts American money. Or like WWII. How soon everyone forgets. Not to justify any behavior, but you have a short memory.

  • @theclate well said !!!

  • They should do a report England or France was here, and the number of destroyed countries and colonies would be much greater. Oh yeah, France was here in Vietnam first, morons.

  • the song at 1:20 :D /watch?v=r2VabdhQ92M

  • The Vietcong did worst to their people. There are civilian casualties of every war and country. It's just that nobody accepts the fact that it happens, and not just with Americans.

  • @metroidTamer010 You are so right. I'm glad I've seen at least one person on here with an open-minded perspective.

  • If you think these traps are dangerous, think how dangerous they would be if you put 2 pounds of explosives with them. That's what the Americans are facing now in Afghanistan and Iraq. The difference between getting a spike through your foot and getting blown in half..IEDs account for 60% of American causalities..

  • @ddnguyen278 but most of those deaths are instant, these traps caused much more pain..

  • Sorry I ment her father

  • Was it the Americans who shot her husband or the Viennese army

  • I am American and am really ashamed our soldiers did that :(

  • Damn it these traps are so dangerous.

  • war brings pain, and its all pointless

  • Comment removed

  • Often in war, the civilians pay the biggest price.

    Sux...

  • I have been looking at Vietnam War related stuff all day for a history paper and i am so tired of people bashing Americans for Vietnam! Vietnam was Americas most highly protested war for a reason, not all Americans condone the actions of our government; look into your own countries past endeavorers, i'm sure they have done wrong as well.

  • I hope shes talking about Viet Cong at the end, and not any UN forces. The only US conducted massacre was the My Lai or something like that.

  • @vivalaryan54 i think she mean u.s.

  • @vivalaryan54 Im pretty sure she's talking about the usa If she was north Ofen USA Would mistake normal ppl for being Viet Cong Or is she's south it probley the North

  • War is hell.

  • all is fair in love and war.

  • doh mah big boy

  • @masterfastblast go to WIKIPEDIA HOCHIMINH, the bastard real name is nguyen luu manh, responsible for the war and millions of VN or US deaths

  • @thangco11 wikipedida is very unreliable

  • @caibarien71 We killed 1.5 million uniformed NVA and 3.5 million non-uniformed militia not including 1.5 million civilians according to Their top general Giap. Every year thousands of Vietnamese die from unexploded ordinance from the wars 1940-1975, millions are suffering massive birth defects and more are born every year.

Vietnamese still eat our shit daily. We learned to wiped our asses on Vietnam and they love it.

  • @masterfastblast Your really a fucking retard ass person no wonder you failed to succed in life if you were had drafted in the vietnam war you would had died two times in the fucking traps that you didnt know about until you watch this video faggot

  • @masterfastblast fuck u america

  • Funny how every war America fought, America can't make simple household traps like the congs did
