  • porra deus nao so criou o homem como sua propria forma, mas fez ele com a mesma inteligencia.

  • find the higgs ...!!!..religion will fall !

  • @polarbear01278 No it wont, the higgs will only answer the mechanical questions questions "how" and "when" and "where2, it cant answer the philosophical questions "why" and "who"

Unfortunately, the existance of the higgs actually strengthens the arguement of the religeous as the higgs are proposed to be the seeds of creation by which the universe and its mass constituents came into being "Let there be light" and all that "in the beginning" biblical metaphor actually becomes an uncanny parallel

  • since when does religion have anything to do with atoms? i believe in God and evolution, so? evolution is the change that occurs in species over time, not that species came from a single organism. to me, when i see or hear about how complex the world is, it only makes me believe more that life is too complex for this all to happen by chance. take photosynthesis. it seems simple, but when you get down to the molecular level of it, it is unbelievably complicated. some bang created this? no..

  • @heathman8282 well said, couldnt have put it any better myself

  • "It's impossible to travel faster than the speed of light."

Yeah, it was supposed to be impossible to see atoms, too.

  • Did you know that there are about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000000,000,000000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms in the body. Thats 1 followed by about 80 0's.

  • Enjoyed that immensely. Especially the part where the lattice was heated. Cheers!

  • This smacks religion and god upside the face.

  • It's so mind boggling at times to think that everything we've ever experienced is made up of these tiny, charged particles...and these little tiny particles wiggling and vibrating together somehow allow us to think and recall memories...truly a strange universe.

  • From 2:20 to 2:40 the caption says 31% are bright Rhodium atoms and 69% are dark Platinum atoms. However, I can identify 4 different colors there: White, bright grey, dark grey and black. Why is that so?

  • This is awesome, though the whole introduction was unnecessary... Brilliant, thank you for sharing!

  • cool video...but please. someone get this guy/girl to invest their ass in a spelling and grammar course. it's really annoying to see a scientific presentation with bad spelling and broken grammar.

  • looks created to me.

  • great !!!! it is almost unbeliveble !! amazing!!!! thanks a lot for sharing !!!!!!!!!

  • google Doe's Account.

  • Electron cloud

  • Anyone an idea if the if the dots resemble the nuclei or are they emmisions from the electrons?

  • @0PsycoDad0 each dot you see is an individual atom--the reason they are round is due to the electron orbitals, the electrons move so fast it looks as if they are solid, round "objects," Pretty crazy

  • @rhcp4565 Like the fan of your PC...

    Thanx for making this clear

  • @0PsycoDad0 yea man no prob

  • There are approx. 10000000000000000 atoms in the full stop of this sentance.

  • My biology teacher said that atoms haven't been seen yet, they are just theoretical.

  • lmao, they have taken a picture of them, real pictures

  • @nukeum2 Your biology teacher needs to do THEIR homework...lol

  • @nukeum2 Your teacher's DNA is made of 'theoretical' Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Phosphorus atoms..... still he seems pretty real ha?! Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist, we have maths to calculate that... also be sure of the difference between a theory and a scientific theory.

  • They are very small it was nice to see photos of them!!

  • it means 89 degrees kelvin

  • tyvm

  • whats 89k on the top right refer to?

is it for zooming 89000 times???>>

  • @abhinayan27 My guess is that it's the temperature(Kelvin)... as it rises the surface changes.

  • @FatLingon hey, <---- I didn't know you could do that blue @sign, then the user's nameQ!!! I didn't know that at all!!! thanks!

  • @AlreadyEddie I didn't either... it just popped up as such when I clicked "respond" and I just let it be like that :D

  • k is for kelvins, which the scale starts at sub zero.

  • Atom : Electron & Proton / new idea / Pauli wrote in 1924

" Each quantum state in the atom is not limited

of two electrons, but only of one electron"

It means in the atom can be only one single electron

    The electron manages the atom

If the atom contains more than one electron

(for example two) this atom represents Siamese twins Save us God of having such atoms and cells

All living being begins its life from one singe atom, cell

    Israel Socratus

  • @socratus1 What the hell does this even mean?

  • my science teacher showed us this video in class lol

  • the atoms are being heated

  • @pacfan999 totaly fake

  • @pacfan999

    hence temperature in degree's kelvin

  • outstanding video! i enjoyed every second of it... Im used to see Atoms in plastic models at school, but seeing the real thing is amazing. 5*!

  • Last movie was filmed in my laboratory (Laboratorio de Nuevas Microscopias; Universidad Autonoma de Madrid) by Ivan Brihuega. This show us a reconstruction of the surface atoms by changes on temperature

  • last pictur, why dont we see the reg. 273 k? or just to the gas stadium?

  • it seems so....i only took the photos and information from this page

  • what isn't then?

  • i didn't know it was possible to see atoms, is this really true because when i search the internet i can never find real live atom photos.

  • Do searches for; tunneling microscope spectroscopy and electron scanning spectroscopy

  • Does anyone know if the round, spheroid shapes in this video are actually the outer electron orbitals that surround the nucleus of the atoms we are looking at? It would be best if a trained physicist would answer this question.

  • there is no other possible explanation for that...

that have to be the electron orbitals

  • @russiankgb500 They are most likely the electronsphere. No one has ever been able to see the nucleus of an atom because the electronsphere gets in the way. I believe it has to do with tunelling microscopes using electrons as their light source to begin with, hitting the same problem as with light... we'd need a smaller wavelength than the electron's to go any further.

  • everything, in this dimension, is made of atoms.

  • It's amazing how when someone can't accept the new reality of atoms, unseen dimensions, quantum physics, evolution and all the other wonders that science has revealed about our beautiful Universe, they close their eyes, curl up into a fetal position and revert back to mumbling emotional spoon-fed religious sayings.....like a drug addict injecting heroine to go into a fantasy world of pink angels, white-bearded sorcerers and easy, "no-work-required" answers.

  • @russiankgb500 ""no-work-required" answers"

What an ignorant statement. This may be your narrow minded view some of the greatest minds believed in a creator. Just because you wish to view them this way does not make it so. Your reality is blurry good sir.

  • @yourboycal It all depends upon your view of the world. Be you Jew, Christian, Muslim, Scientific, Athiest or have even come up whith your own way of seeing things, we must all repect eachothers views and learn to get along whith diffrent ideas.

  • What EXACTLY are we looking at in the last 30 secs or so. What's happening?

  • I think the atoms are being heated, the 'K' means kelvin, when atoms are heated they vibrate!

  • I knew that it was posible to "photograph" atoms and how it is done but I don't understand how is it posible to film atoms..

  • watch?v=FK8n-8WkS-4 Anyone interested in helping me debate and prove that Atoms are infact, real, please follow that link. I'm having trouble getting through to this person, and they are not bothering to accept ANY evidence I have so far produced to them.

    - Paul M.

  • What does this have to do with religion? At what size does it cease to be explicable by science to YOU and then it s another size, like atomic and suddenly you are questioning if God created it ? There will always be more to find and more mysteries to God than atoms.. I love song as it seems to go with atoms somehow..and atoms turn out to be just like the diagrams...weird.

  • I don't believe it. We can "see" atoms now?? Holy Hell! This is frick'n amazing

  • you said the rain drop would be big as new york... you wrong that would only be new york city!

  • "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Genisis 1:1

"A fool hassaid in his heart,'there is no God." Psalm 14:1....let God do the talking haha

  • "god created the internet" Genesis 13:2

"and this internet will showcase the stupididty of man kind" Psalm 69:3.....Please stop the idiots from talking.

  • Hey, you asked me. But ok, let's leave it at that. =)

  • RELIGION DIVIDES PEOPLE. See how we errupt when we talk about religion.

The creation is amazing, makes you realize more about the complexity of life and how it does the balancing act.

One question remains, why are we here? can i choose not to be here?

  • you are just a logical product of the evolution...thousands of accidents made you exist now...not more not less...and yes u can choose...choose over life and death..kill your self for instance...its your choice

  • @pacfan999 Accidents from a human stand point maybe...

  • that is your philosophy

  • Els àtoms són molt sorprenents.

  • I'm screwed then!

  • You can stop like me, by much prayer and determination.

  • Lol, no thanks. And just a quick little extra bit... Science and Religion don't mix everyone! >=(

  • What i'm wondering is are those pictures of nickel and whatever that other one was atoms real?

  • Wait, how is it possible to see atoms if they are too small for the wavelength of light? Is this a computer simulation?

  • No its a tunneling microscope, They can also See the Double Alpha helix of DNA

  • GOD IS AWESOME.

  • Thats nice, but it has nothing to do with this video.

  • God made atoms.

  • nope

  • "nope" to what comment?

If its the one about masturbation then its true mastubating everyday will make your dick not get hard anymore.

if its the comment about God creating atoms thats also true, God created everything.

  • no nope

  • CzarThePlezer,

how can you be so sure that God didn't create everything? Sure, maybe he didn't sit there in Heaven molding each and every atom in the Universe, but what if he set off the big bang in the first place, and set it off in such a way that everything was made into what it is today?

  • How Can you be sure That there was a God that initiated Genesis, And here is a question, There have been many gods which have been prasied throughout many civilizations, how can you be sure that your god was the one that created life, as well as these other gods which have been chosen over yours in the past?

  • That's what faith is about. And there has been proof that Jesus lived. Also, Christianity is a very large and well known religion.

  • Thats perfect I respect your opinion, unlike you tho I dont need faith in god to have good morals. Christianity is a vague description, there are many forms of it, which one do you fall under? Many Religious People are ritualist, which means they go to church yet they dont follow any of the teachings, the largest Hypocrits of the world

  • I guess I'm the 'Don't really go to Church much but follow teachings of God and try not to sin.' type. I do my fair share of praying too.

  • I'll be honest and in the most respectful way...I Really dont care about what you do with your faith, nor how you practice it. Just keep following the path your taking it seems to be working for you, as someone once put it, You and I are on the same track, the only difference is we are on a different trains

  • sONG

  • Cool you can see them move @ 3:10

  • looks like the cellular walls of plants

  • What's the magnification to see an atom?

  • Is that real? are they actual atoms? why haven't I seen this anywhere else, on the news for example?!

  • in modern terminology, shut the hell up OMG

  • In modern terminology the mass of an object is its invariant mass which is zero for a photon.

  • What they are talking about is "relativistic mass", an outdated concept which is best avoided. Relativistic mass is a measure of the energy E of a particle which changes with velocity. By convention relativistic mass is not usually called the mass of a particle in contemporary physics so it is wrong to say the photon has mass in this way. but you can say that the photon has relativistic mass if you really want to.

  • Sometimes people like to say that the photon does have mass because a photon has energy E = hf where h is Planck's constant and f is the frequency of the photon. Energy, they say, is equivalent to mass according to Einstein's famous formula E = mc2. They also say that a photon has momentum and momentum is related to mass p = mv.

  • ok, one mistake there by me.

light has momentum, that's why solar sails work.

but that doesnt mean it has mass, because momentum can exit without mass. if you see light as a ray of photons, then it has definitely no mass, any scientist can tell you that. photons are massless particles.

  • normbreyfogle, you're a joke.

why didn't you go and google solar sail before posting that. jeez. solar sail work because of all the other particles the sun shoots out, like protons, electrons etc. and the actual LIGHT that hits the sail, energizez the sail so it can kind of vaporize, and therefore move.

  • what is the song please? thnx x

  • the song is called bittersweet symphony by Verve Pipe

  • d0dgerdant, you are mistaken. Light does inded have mass. This is why a solar sail would work. Also, light is bent by gravity and cannot escape a black hole because of its mass.

  • Very informative! Really nice video!

  • MicroMoon2008, ffs! like i said earlier, the electrons don't cycle the core with the speed of light!! electrons have mass, they are real particles ok?? which means that it's impossible for them to reach the full speed of light! im getting tired of ppl not understanding this simple matter.

  • oh yeah cos ur such a brain box.... get over your self mate, for people who are just learning about this stuff it can be quite confusing..

  • Simply amazing video. I added this to my favorites because its so good. Thank you

  • I thought that do far nobody has ever seen an atom.

  • just freaking awesome!

  • Amazing!

  • Not being in expert I think Scanning Electron Microscopes are in black in white or grey scale. I didn't know the atoms were so tightly packed I would have thought it was empty space. I would like to see a picture of a single atom.

  • i guess its impossible to extract one single atom (unfortunately)....you will never see the electrons or protons...cause the electrons are moving with light speed and create a kind of "fog"

  • It's hard to believe we already have "spilt" atoms and then "fused" them. It's a shame we don't have that kind of intelligence to solve our other problems.

  • maybe they are not that easy xD

  • The scientific and technical problems are easy compared to solving our social problems of greed, hatred, abuse of power, and the like. Once we get a handle on our inate evil we will win in the lottery of the Universe.

  • Are this made with a scanningtunnelmicroscope, or a scanningforcemicroscope?

  • my responses below were towards other people. Video was good.

  • And why the fuck should they spend their time curing diseases that clean this world of ignorant humans? It's not their duty to save the worlds filth. Fuck off with your hippy bullshit.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with you Uber , there are more humans on the planet now then there has ever been. The planet needs us to die or we will kill it.

Thats why we look into space , so we can fuck up somewhere else.

This video is simply amazing . We have only scratched the surface of this truly magnificent new small world of atoms.

  • Hey do ya think we could make a hybrid breed of trees that can withstand super hot temps (up to 700˙ to be exact) and very acidic enviornments and plant them on venus? U know, then the planet would be filled with oxygen and we could live there. Do you think that would be at all possible?

  • seeing as all matter is from the same basic set up. then I would say that we should be able to create plants that require different environments. ( one day )

  • hahaha such an imagination, but no that would be impossible, where would the trees get its water from, where would it get its rays of sunlight, in order to undergo photosynthesis, How would Oxygen it releases be capable of creating ozone on venus, there are so many other factors that go into play,

  • i have a feeling you like to consume your own ejaculate. Congrates asshole.

  • the music was great, it's the same music Dennis Miller uses on his radio show.

  • are these actual image of atoms

  • hahah no totally wrong....u can´t focus on electrons...they move with ligh speed around the atom core....its called electronic microscopy because they use the electrons to make things visible....light is limited because of the wave lenght

  • ehm, no the electrons DON'T move with the speed of light around the atom core. get your facts straight. maybe near the speed of light, but still FAR from it.

  • the electrons does cicling the core in speed of light, if they move little bit slower than it so the structur will colapse and the energy will free and will be big bang (like few TNT's)

  • no it doesn't I don't know what it stnads for though

  • Thanks

  • At 2:40: Stand the K for Kelvin?

    And what happens by 80K?

  • I was wondering the same thing, i don't quite believe this video. I'm Pretty sure i would have heard this before.

  • i'm not so sure i believe this. I have never heard of being able to see atoms before. And i'm pretty sure I would have.

  • Where are the the electrons nucleus protons neutrons -- is this stop movement?

  • all matter is mearly energy condensed to a slow vibration experincing its self subjectively. thier is no such thing as death, life is just a dream and you are the imagination of your self

  • lol...you are so so wrong.

  • lol i wasnt trying to be right

  • matter is floating energy, just it occurs in matter much simpler like quarks. It makes sense, theres light and thermal energy everywhere, and theres also alot of matter. Light creates an electromagnetic field to be a medium at the fastest possible speed. maybe what we call matter is the medium for energy to exist motionless. When these fields interact predictably and form workable matrixes of molecules u get what we call "shape".

  • What is the part at 2:40 a shot of? is that video? and what is it a video of. what is happening in the video? its soo interesting.

  • what r the white blocks? sm quantum effects?

  • Direwolf56: the electrons spinning around the protons and the nuetrons would probably crush your finger. atoms is just matter. not "floating energy".

  • if atoms were big enough to touch with your finger, what would it feel like?

  • think you´ll get chocked

  • huh??

  • its just floating energy.....

  • did you mean "shocked"? im doing a vid on atoms myself soon

  • I think someone lacks the intellectual capability to spell properly, let alone understand what this video is about.

  • !!!!!! Electricity ==== GoD !!!!!!

  • what?

  • energy=god, everything is energy, energy cannot be destroyed, matter is condensed tightly packed energy.

God is everything. He really is everywhere lol

  • your statements "god=energy", "everything is energy" "matter is condensed tightly packed energy" "god is everywhere" are all lies backed up by no evidence whatsoever, you simply made them up.

  • suck dick

  • you are awful.

  • nuh uh, I'm not awful, God is, I would say, life, the building blocks of life, nature, everything is energy though, that I have evidence for, look in a science textbook. But to say everything is god, you're right, I have no proof, but I would believe god to be physics, the math of everything, shit like that. IDK.

  • physics is your friend

  • Grammar is your friend.

  • what is the name of the song in here guys??? I REALLY MUST KNOW!!!!

  • bittersweet symphony....and something

    soundtrack...cruel intentions

  • What was causing the beam wobble when taking those images at 120k + anyone know the type of scope used, it wasnt a Zeiss machine :D lol

  • every thing is made from atoms retard

  • scientists tend to be extremely intelligent and extremely dumb at the same time.

  • The question is ofcourse what we are seeing? Atoms yes, but the brain is also made up of atoms. It does an interpretation which could be one of many possible. Atoms doesn't exist outside our mind other than as an idea. It takes an interpretator to fulfill the idea and maybe that's what living beings are for. They coexist with the universe.

  • your an idiot, its made from neurones and cells.

  • Neurones and cells are words they taught you in school. You have a concept of what it is but don't really know anything.

  • well it aint definately not made from atoms. Thats my point.

  • Ok I have read your answer. Now lets hope someone else will read it too. Would be interesting to see if they agree :)

  • you're retarded

  • Yes, and cells aren't made from atoms at all, no.

  • to ecsript.. he says

''Yes, and cells aren't made from atoms at all, no. ''

wtf ur soo retarded.. im in the 8th grade and i knw that cells are made from atoms.. everything is made from atoms !!
