@mojareus That sample has been around since the dawn of time. hahaha. Just kiddin'. The sample is already in databases and stuff. It's quite an awesome sample (:
If you listen to other Roy Rogers tracks as well as this one he uses a lot of the same drums as on homework(pitched and eq'd differently) as well as the obvious filter - and while a lot of people use these similar filters now, There really wasnt that many people using that filter around that time! (this is sort of thomas trying not to sound like thomas)
Actually i'm pretty sure it is Thomas (i could be wrong but i dont think so) (Roy Rogers was his house music pseudonym in the early 90's i believe - acording to Mixmag and the like)
Wtf. When did this come out? I;m so confused. I have every Daft Punk Guy Man Thomas Bangalter Ed Banger all this ish, and never once have I heard of this. It wasn't on any of Trax on the Rocks. Maybe its some sort of Gym Tonic like stolen beat? sounds exactly like thomas tho...
as far as i was aware it was on a best of roule mix but now that you question it im not sure, i got a discog a few years back and cant find the link any more, it will require further ivestigation wicked track all the same with a bangalter sound so who knows?

It's been mistaken as a song by Thomas Bangalter because he pretty much invented filter house...
It is definitely by Roy Rogers though...
It's pretty good though...
It's nice cause now DJs don't just have to play Thomas Bangalter endlessly @ the clubs...

This is NOT Thomas Bangalter. But yes, it sounds like a mix of Indo Silver Club and Revolution 909.

I Know this isn't by Thomas Bangalter, but it sounds pretty and original it could be one of his song. Although Thomas' songs are more Acid house-y;)
Martijnnaber 2 years ago
It's obvious it's not THOMAS BANGALTER, because...
1. It samples an ABBA song (You need ABBAs permission to use samples, and I know he wouldn't, haha)
and
2. I KNOW this isn't by Thomas Bangalter, otherwise Alex would have uploaded this, HAHAHAHA!!!

thomas bang...daft punk etc
tracks are supposed to be sequels to each other
rather than different trax all the time

dude that filter is so common its not even funny. what the fuck are you comparing him to, calabria, darude, tiesto, and cascada? go back to myspace.
amerthil 3 years ago 22
Listen at 00:42, this is the same sound that the sound used in Colossus by Thomas Bangalter at 05:39.
So, it may be his song.
apocaalypso 3 years ago
It's called a filter. House musicians use it on a lot of their music, it isn't specific to one producer.
marikun 3 years ago
Yes, I know. But Thomas Bangalter use this effect particulary.
apocaalypso 3 years ago
It's a sample from ABBA - Lay all your love on me. However I like this song much better :P
