Someone creative, can actually make him laugh (not just the small chuckle seen here), someone who's smart but can challenge him & yes, someone he's attractive to. Someone he may write off in the beginning but then realizes how smart she is and that they have a few things in common in the way of interests go. As for Amy...I don't like her at all

@Starbits7 that's almost exactly how I pictured the relationship but what I meant by Penny and Sheldon being opposite is that she's not into science and technology so I feel that if he were to date someone it would have to be a challenging, smart, witty and sociable (as in has normal friends and can act like a normal person who understands feelings) person. That's why I like the closet nerd model idea because she beautiful, sociable, challenging, usually witty and smart.. and i agree about Amy
