@Cadence3456 keep the original boxes they come in to keep dust out of shoes also keeps spiders and insects out. You can put boxes on shelf in closet. Use common sense don't buy a huge shoe collection then you'll have plenty of closet space. Can also have clothes organized according to where you use them hat, coat and umbrella can be stored in closets near front door, underwear can be stored in plastic cabinet in bathroom so you can change into them after you take a shower. Work tools in garage.

A lot of shoe boxes already have the picture of the shoes on them, so keep the original boxes!

Another idea is one of those things on wheels that slide in and out from under the bed. The shoes can be lined up on it, and slid easily out of sight. This won't work if you have a HUGE shoe collection.

a cheaper way that you can do to keep your shoes in great standing is

crumple newspaper place them in the shoe and that will keep the shape as well absorb the wet and sweat from your foot after a long day or also a rainy day. also to keep the odor sweet and fresh in your shoe you could put fabric softner sheets and leave them in over night.

your shoe will remain fresh as well almost new.

as for storage well your idea seems interesting plus at walmart they sell those drawers cheap so yah =)

GooberFace4: clean them off: have a mat and a stiff brush by your door so they're clean before you even enter the house. You probably would be better off with a shoe rack than boxes.
