@michaelatteridge - The recorded solo is heavily harmonized - live, Tommy can only play one of the parts. Paul sometimes harmonized Bruce's solo (from what I see on youtube here), but he did NOT here, because Tommy can handle the vibe himself. It is not "dull" - it is note for note - but it is not harmonized, so it sounds "thin."

Kulick wasn't a good guitarist for Kiss. He plays too technical and he wasn't in the spirit of the band. Exept for Revenge or some title in Hot in the Shade, he played like Van Halen !! Thayer for me is longer better than him, and than Vincent or St John

This is one of my all time favorite KISS songs. Some of Paul Stanley's best songwriting. Bruce Kulick played an amazing solo in this song, as what he did in Forever, too.

Paul's voice is gone (he is almost 60) and Gene barely moves (he is 60). Compare this to youtube footage of Kiss in 1975 - 78, Kiss is now a tribute band!

@BoscoeMan66 I couldn't agree more. I saw KISS in 2003 and they were beyond amazing. I saw them again in 2009 at MSG and they were ok but not great. Then i saw them in august and they were horrible. Paul's voice was shot. Gene actually sounded better than him. THey need to finally realize it's time to stop. They're embarrasing themselves now

KISS is the coolest, hottest and greatest band ever. I was on the Alive 35 concert in Hamburg ....... it was hott, cool and great. Genes solo was one of the best parts that evening.

Agreed. It was OK, but it was missing the very last wail...on the second refrain of the bridge, Tommy just pulled back and played a rhythm, but I guess a Les Paul without a tremelo bar won't cut it with what BK put in the solo there...

I agree that Bruce if anyone should be in the spaceman makeup...nothing personal against tommy...but if it's not Ace Frehley, then Bruce Kulick...Bruce was the best fit in my opinion...I give plenty of credit to Singer though...he's had a tough job with these guys...you know, he had the hard job of replacing the great Eric Carr...and he's paid his dues over the years...and he plays a hell of a lot better than Peter Criss...nothing personal against Peter...
