As someone who's seen the show, my opinion is that the choreography is definitely meant to be seen as a whole rather than a confusing jumble of camera angles. So thanks for this!

Billy is letting out his frustration that he isn't allowed to take ballet anymore. Meanwhile, the miners who are on strike fight the police. Billy is torn between the two worlds, his passion for dance and his loyalty with his working-class background and family.

(I think that they should have used Solidarity as the Tony performance, because that would've been way less confusing for people who don't know the show. Plus, it's got FANTASTIC staging.)
