5 of 5 Openning of a Black Widow Spider egg sac!

My wife caught a beautiful widow today in our garden. I have her in a mason jar right now observing her web spinning. Really messy web they make.

They wouldn't dare!,.........once hatched, the little spiders ate each other up, until they all dissapeared! I'm sure mom ate more than one, although i was feeding her insects so she wouldn't have the need to do so, but she still ate some.

Yes, for some reason, i did notice mom destroying the web, maybe it was a tactic she used to 'control' her out-of-control newborns? I'm glad you liked it,

@realtoruben hi, lol. yeah i have this old van outside in my driveway that i haven't driven in years because it doesn't work. At night while playing basketball the ball rolled under the van and when i went down to get it, i saw like 6 black widow spiders, they were huge and fat, at night. when i went back during the day they weren't there, they only come out at night I guess. Any idea of how to catch one lol? they look cool and when i saw them i freaked out lol, props to you for being tough.thnx

i love spiders but i think this happen to be the creepiest thing i have ever seen anyone do with a spider...also a deadly spider...wow but ultra sweet though...nice job

is that spider poisiones or howevr its wrote cuz where i come from in my whole ountry is only 1 poisiones anymal and its a snake its the only lethal anymal or maml in our country!

Yes it is poisonous, it is the most poisonous spider in North America. Search YouTube for videos of black widow bites.....they are nasty bites, leave big bite holes in your skin!
