the play in the tenacious might come from the pivot beeing too small a diameter for the bore in the blade . A machinist could fix that . Don't know if it is worth it though.
That's a problem for me and I'm sure a lot of other viewers. You buy a knife online and it's smaller than you thought even though you read the measurements and they weren't lying. Or the fit and finish is way worse than you thought. The blade is not lined up in the frame....etc..But we still keep buying them because the price is half that of the B and M store. We just use the duds (which I estimate to be 1/3 of what I buy) as bangers or give them to friends. Its all good.
Wow, benchmades lifesharp, that is surprising. I sent mine back, and requested resetting the angle steeper, they did that, gave me a new pocket clip, AND a bunch of clip screws. All for my 5 bucks.
try using some slivers of metal to shim the liner lock, i mean hold the whole steel insert forward, its seems like the whole inside is moving not just the blade. try it, if you want, let me know how it goes.
