they create lift as longs as there's enough air flow over the wing,at such a low speed, with no flaperons,it will tipstall or sink, upright or inverted they stil create lift, all aerobatic planes have a symmetrical airfoil,
@bzhfbz LMAO!! if the wings create no lift then how the hell can it fly? LOL. Do you realise how stupid that sounds?? Most planes out there are fully symmetrical airfoil mate LOL. What you should have said is that they create LESS LIFT AT A GIVEN SPEED, not NO lift.
@bruiserhzj To start off I'm going to say I'm not some crazy smart person. How does a fully symmetrical airfoil create lift? You are saying if you take that symmetrical airfoil and turn it upside down it creates negative lift? I don't think so. A symmetrical airfoil needs a positive attack angle to create lift. If a symmetrical airfoil has a attack angle of 0 degrees then it has no lift. Airfoils make lift because the top and bottom surfaces are different shapes.
@bzhfbz That's exactly my point though.....You DON'T need to have different shapes above and below the wing to create lift. You can create lift from your hand out the window of the car as long as you point it up. The pure wing area creates lift when you pull up on the elevator and change the angle of the wing upwards. As this happens the air underneath the wing pushes it upwards thus creating lift. You are looking at it from a 0 degrees perspective...but aerodynamics don't always work that way.
@bruiserhzj Yeah i understand what you mean... it has to have some sort of life to fly... im not a tard. I looked at your vids there... how you like your yak? who makes it?
@bzhfbz Mate honestly the Yak is the best thing i have ever flown!!! Doesn't tip stall....flies very very slow!! Very precise machine. I have only been flying 6 months so i can't do full 3D aerobatics yet LOL. It's a very easy plane to fly and the DLE 30 has plenty of grunt!!! It is made by Dolphin, an Australian company.
@bruiserhzj cool... ive always been a fan of yaks. I'd like a extreme flight 88" yak. I'v been flying for 3 years. I'll send you a PM with the channel my flying vids are on
@bzhfbz For example....look at the wing shape of birds....they are just feathers...but by flapping them at the right angle you get lift and thrust. Same principle here....You are correct in saying non-symmetrical airfoils create MORE lift...of course they do...they create a lower pressure on top of the wing giving extra lift. But you don't always need that. Depends on the aircraft design, wing loading etc. But symmetrical airfoils DO CREATE LIFT. And where does the lift come from???? the air!!!
@bzhfbz Shit mate we're confusing things here LOL. NO the airfoil doesn't make lift....but the wing still does!! That's what i'm trying to say LOL. The airfoil doesn't need to create lift, and at the end of the day....it's not even the wings that create the lift...it's the air. No wind.....no lift!!! LOL. You know what i mean and i know what you mean LOL.
when you buy a comp arf ,one of the first things you read is,theese planes are designed for flying ,not crashing,in other words ,they are like a glass slipper ,fragile as hell, but the best ,comp arf is allmost the standard for competition ,and are about the best available.
you need power with a strong headwind. he lost that landing way back. he also was way to high and looks to me had had to push the nose over. a big no no. thats a shame because that plane a big pussy cat to fly..
so bad pilot

that's huge yak should be easy to land lol!!
kRLZVEGANZE 8 months ago
Take it back to the hanger and get it fixed so we can fly again....

Man I can land better yak 55 and Im 13 so if you wanna proof I can put the video of first flight.

bzhfbz is right bernoulli's principle has no affect on a symmetrical airfoil

Looks like this pilot is flying three-planes ahead of his skill level. That plane was too slow from the beginning of the video.

It just came in to slow it lost lift due to being slow on aproach.

the wings on a plane like that are symmetrical and create no lift
bzhfbz 1 year ago
@bzhfbz thats such rubbish..if they didnt create lift it would never fly
condo559 1 year ago
@condo559 it cuts through the air... it needs a positive angle of atack to stay airborn

He had a really good flight before this. The wind was a little stiff right down the runway and he probably thought he could just coast it in.
