And by the way, Senate Bill # 3283 does not mention any Joe Medicine Crow, so perhaps you have the wrong #. More muddled and grey area facts or misinformation.
@Forestbender1114 Because due to their societies being doomed to extinction due to population growth.
It is a naive thought to believe that the world could exist on the same level of basic nature worship and small hunter gatherer groups and later by simple agriculture, as populations increased in numbers all around it. The world changes so does it's peoples if it is to survive. All races went thru these same chnages thru time all based on population growth.
@Blahblobify fuck yu faggot this is my grampa!! yur soo lucky idk who the fuck yu think yu are but if yu wna talk shit yur going to get a beat down from me and my family so i suggest yu stay the fuck away from my country before we go tribal on yur bitch ass do yu understand me.?
At the end of the day, is it really all that important to you whether or not JMC did all those badass deeds? Of course it doesn't. You never knew Joe. Why should you actually care about what he did or didn't to during WWII? I personally believe Joe's stories, but it doesn't really affect me either.
But it does matter to Ironbraidz, and to the Crow nation, and to Indians in general. If they want to believe his stories, why not just let them?
LOL yes one of the Tuskegee Airmen said the same thing when it was pointed out that all the fantastic claims made about them weren't true either (like no bomber they escorted was ever shot down, they got the first jet kill in a dogfight, etc) and he said with a STRAIGHT FACE "what does it matter?".
The TRUTH matters. To say it doesn't is.....assholish.
You misspeak, I said the truth matters to Joe, Ironbraidz, and the Crow people because its their story, but not to you and me. Whether we believe it or not, its not within our rights to make a big deal about it, because its not our story. If Joe Medicine Crow never did any of those things, the Nazis still lost the war, and that's what truly matters to everyone.
BTW, what's assholish is to criticize Joe for being a supposed liar in front of his own grandson. Why don't you think about how close you are to your grandparents and then call someone an asshole.
Well, I'm sorry, but you're personal losses don't give you the right to make claims about people you don't know in front of their close relatives. Wallowing in self-pity and taking it out on others is how I behaved when I was twelve.
@IrOnBrAiDz15 I greatly respect your grandfather .. but I have to say that you do HIM a discredit by your terrible language and cursing ... you sound like a 12 year old who just heard some 'grown up' words and are spewing them around. If you want to defend your grandfather then do so with words, facts, and cohesive verbal defense.
@IrOnBrAiDz15 That's fine , but as I said there are better more effective ways than just spewing random curse words and such. That only hurts the image supporters of JMC. Again " If you want to defend your grandfather then do so with words, facts, and cohesive verbal defense." Good luck to you.
@badhand1 Hey, they should make a movie about YOUR life! They could call it "big pussy who never did jack shit with his life and thinks he's cool on the internet by making fun of a decorated war-hero". I'm sure everyone will think you're AWESOME bro.

@SpeedyGreen Yeah well at least I can document my life. Joe is a great story teller and NOT "a decorated war hero". He got the same award hundreds of thousands received long AFTER the war , a Bronze Star WITHOUT "V" device for "Valor"..i,e....its a 'you done a good job, thanks award', NOT a combat award. His stories change as he tells them and get better with time, or worse, depending on how you look at it.
@drgtvids - What?! The senators’ legislation to award Medicine Crow a Congressional Gold Medal is Senate Bill 3283. He also won the French Legion of Honor and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, so this would make him a decorated war hero. Old Joe Medicine Crow should be given the respect that he & all the soldiers who fought in WW2, Axis or Allied Powers, deserve. You do know they don't give medals out unless they can corroborate the story? Unless of course you're Pat Tillman.
@MrEpiclylaterd Yeah well at least I can document my life. Joe is a great story teller and NOT "a decorated war hero". @drgtvids - How is saying you can document your life proving anything you've said is right or better yet disproved anything Medicine Crow has said. If you don't believe this story then you shouldn't believe in Basilones' tales at Guadalcanal or the 442nd rescuing the "lost battalion".
It just seems like you're harboring a great deal of animosity towards the chief. Are you skeptical that the Mercury, Gemini & Apollo missions ever happened or the moon landing(s) for that matter?
@MrEpiclylaterd The huge & very obvious difference in your reference is that the Basilone & 442nd stories are heavily documented stories which also make sense. Joe's fables are unsubstantuated in any way & do not make sense .
In response to any "animosity" I said in an earlier post that Joe is an alright guy, just stretches the truth & speaks of histories he does not understand.
And yes, I believe in the space missions ,but not that Crows were here 60 mil years ago . Thanks
@drgtvids - Where did you read about him saying his tribe has been around for 60 million years, I cannot find it? I really like what you said to Forestbender. Not that I completely agree with it but it correlates with something I heard S. Zizek say about our "plastic" society. How we should embrace technology instead of trying to run back to nature. In more or less words we shouldn't fear technological advancement or hide from it, but we cannot use that as an excuse to be irresponsible.
@MrEpiclylaterd As stated, I know Joe and have done programs with him and heard him say those things in person. I can not recall the name of his book, but in it he reports the Crow were here 60 million years ago and travelled all over North America until finally returning to the Yellowstone Valley where they originated from. We know for fact the Crow were off shoot of the Hidatsa tribe on the Knife River in N.D. and only moved into Yellowstone Valley a few 100 years ago, not 1000's or millions
@MrEpiclylaterd The only way we can all return to nature is if about 75% of the worlds population is killed or dies off. Nature cannot support the #s of people today on it's on. As the world grows so does it problems, those issues can only be resolved with technology & science & not mumbo jumbo, burning sage, chants or eagle feathers.
By facing reality it does not mean that you do not think the Old Ways were awesome, but they are gone never to return and Indian people need to evolve to21st cent
@AngelusDlion Not sure where or how you thought I said anything like that?
Compared to modern humans with a world view and education , old time Indians , like all other stone age type peoples, were quite primitive in many ways. There is a huge difference between primitive and ignorant.
@drgtvids - Which of his stories do you think are fabricated?
1)The TNT charge on the Sigfried Line (Photographed)
2)Him running into a German soldier knocking his rifle out of his hand (He got lucky)
3)Him strangling said soldier then let him go after the soldier mustered the words Mother. The most common phrases uttered before a person dies on a battlefield is Corpsman/Medic and mom according to other soldiers
4)Stealing the SS horses. Again he was lucky he wasn't shot in the back.
Look at grdtvids uploads. It's clear where his sympathies lie. Don't bother replying to his butthurt. Those were probably his grandpa's horses Medicine Crow stole.
@MrEpiclylaterd Not sure how calling people names just for expressing an educated opinion is being civil.
