Have you tried deleting the saved game file? copy it to a SD card then delete it from the wii and try that... this happened to me with super paper mario.
@afluffyman yeah i tried that and it didn't work i deleted the data and copied on a SD card and copied it back onto the wii and it still dousn't work so :-(
