It´s really cool, raw and honest garage rock from he 60s. I really like this track. My hobby is to rediscover all those great bands from the 60s that didn´t "broke through" It´s a fantastic musical treasure. Listen for example to THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Really irresistible good with a bloody driving beat. And, The Music Machine (Talk, talk), and, THE Golliwogs (Tell me)=Check up the singer.........yes, it´s him!!!!!
I just heard this on the Underground Garage on XM. Pretty cool song but I would like to know more about the Troyes. There's no bio info on the web that I can find. I'm amazed that a recording this obscure has survived long enough to get played on satellite radio 45 years after it was made. Maybe somebody found an old 45 in their attic and copied it.
i'm glad you folks like this. i was the guitar player for the troyes, you can also hear my playing on," I don't know what it is but it sure is funky" by the Mighty Elegant and songs by Singing Sam Moore. thanks all......
