  • What a nice way to start the morniing. The place is so peaceful & I hear birds chirping happily.

  • I Wish I lived in Japan, I'm Sure I will when i'm much older though! :]

  • godbless

  • the clouds that surrounds it only makes it look even more magical.

  • It looks almost surreal. Then again, I thought the same thing of Colorado, probably because the midwest is full of... flatland :)

  • Japan's oldest tourist attraction.

If we get to meet all the ancient Japanese, samurais and older, there's one thing we can share the topic.

  • Hello allgoo19, Yours is a very true and interesting point and I sometimes think about all of the people from the past who have gazed upon this mountain during its various seasons. Thanks for sharing! -Kurt :-)

  • Old Fuji-san...

  • Wow, amazing view.

  • Thanks Kurt this is beautiful. It would be amazing to see this everyday while on the way to work!! You truly are a lucky man.

  • I can see where the Japanese would revere such a beautiful mountain and believe the Gods would live there!

I have heard that there is a walking tour that starts at the bottom and as you walk higher up the mountain there are places that will imprint a marking on a walking stick you take with you, and where you reach the top you have a wonderful walking stick with all the markings from the stops on the way up the mountain. I would love to walk up Fujiyama some time just for that!

  • Amazing! Thanks for the video Kurt! I would love to see that in-person some day.

  • I've gotta agree with you. I remember as a 6 year old kid flying over it and my Dad telling me "That is Mt. Fuji". I never heard of it before and never forgot it.

  • Very nice video! The most beautiful mountain in the world! Thanks Kurt!

  • This is probably one of the best things that you can get by living in Shizuoka. Mt. Fuji looks much better with a snow cap.

  • brilliant !

    Thanks

  • making the trip to see this is soo going on my list of things to do before i die. right below catching a squirrel with my bare hands. thanks for the vid

  • Hello PaperJunkie, After all these years of posting on YouTube I think that your comment above is my all-time favorite! There is something about the image of trying to catch the squirrel which really makes me smile. Thanks for sharing! -Kurt :-)

  • looks amaziing i like how you recorded it right as the trains went by adds a nice touch

  • First time I saw Fuji was from Yokohama and it blew me out.. every time since, too!

I took the drive up the mountain in Spring and it was awesome!
