apparently from what i know and have heard is the original name for the song was Grandfather Clock, but albert thought the name was to long so he changed it to GfC, however i have also heard that GfC is also the chord progression, so take your pick, i would check it myself but I'm a drummer not a guitar player... hope that helped

Don't get me wrong I really like The Strokes and respect them for their style and what they've accomplished, it's just Albert's voice is so much better than Julian's, i'm sorry I said it ok. It's gotten better with First Impressions of Earth, but he just sounds like a mumble in most songs. The Strokes have better music. But Albert has vocals and better lyrics in most of his songs so Albert is better in my opinion. Last thing, The Strokes have good lyrics too, I just like Alberts better.
