  • Everything about this video is inaccurate.

    Barbell curls are not the best 'size' builder for biceps, they are better for toning and shaping the bicep. The best SIZE building exercises are compound exercises like pull ups ect. Same goes for triceps, the one in the video is a tricep isolation excercise, narrow grip flat bench press is far better for building tricep size.

    Plus the guys form is wrong in both exercises, swings too much in barbell curls, and he goes to high up in tricep pushdowns.

  • The video is good. I think I can di this ultimate workout after a couple of years of training first. I do happen to know a link of a site and wanted to share to you guys. It gives free workout plans and exercises that you could use to follow in order to gain lean muscles and loose fats faster. It also helps you develop a lean muscular look.     Supersets for arms a really a good mass builder.

    I do sometimes 4 sets for biceps, then 4 sets for triceps, and comeback to a biceps exercice for 4 sets, then triceps again...

    I also do chest bench press superset with back bendover rowings...

    It's p... in the a... but it works...

  • Never come to a video like this before. Seems like there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this thread, so I'll ask a question. I used to lift a lot. Actually during several periods in my life. Never took supplements and just used my knowledge of the gym to guide me. I got the same results every time - very bulky. I'm about 5'10" and this was not the desired effect. I am now apprehensive about going to the gym because I don't want this to happen again.

I've hear low weight/high reps from everyone I've ever asked this question. I always did this anyway. But I am aware that the science and theory behind stuff like this changes constantly. Any new ideas or techniques would be much appreciated. Again, really looking to just give a lot of definition to what I already have. Thanks a lot for any help.

  • @jafrocubic What people are saying about the lower weight higher reps is correct, but you may just be stuck with the genes you don't want. I've gone up and down weight a lot in my days and for definition and losing weight I've found that high intensity full body workouts work very well.Also, the most important thing you can focus on is your diet, certain foods promote the bulk you don't deside, as others promote a more lean body type. Implement a more cardio based workout and you may see results

  • @icedfist 1500 is nowhere near enough. you need about 3000-4000 a day if you want to put on some weight, depending on body type, but for most lifters 4000 is great. and you should aim to get 2 grams of protein for every pound of body weight, in your case, about 275grams. its a lot, but itll help.

  • @icedfist just lots of good carbs, not sugars. that means grain products, wheat, etc, good for complex carbs. proteins of course... lots of meat. mass gainer really helped me a lot when i decided to put on weight, its a shake, but its nothing bad that your putting into your body, just tons of extra calories.

  • @icedfist ya, just start looking at the labels on stuff you eat, carbs that arent sugar are good, protein is good, fat that ISNT saturated or trans fat is often good, nuts and oils and stuff, just stay away from those bad fats, thats the wrong kind of weight. low salt too, it just dehydrates you, no need.

  • @icedfist To get bulk eat carbs like a mother goto little ceasars every day and get one of those 5 dollar pizzas full of carbs! About 1 carb and gram of protien per pound of body weight per day (but not all at once youll piss it out only about 25-35 grams at a time). Also read up on CNS fatigue if your maxs start dropping and your doing everything the same its probably time to cut back for 2 or 3 weeks and let your nervous system recover

  • @icedfist Listen, if you want to bulk. dont eat crappy carbs like pizza. You'll need lots of water and a healthy breakfast. Early you'll need something like oatmeal which is carb rich and it breaks down throughout your day giving you steady energy levels. After workouts eat a banana, it's got fast digesting carbs which you'll need directly after a workout. Focus on doing a lot of weight for 6-8 reps and make sure you fail on your last rep. As for beating the ol' meat stick, do it all you want.

  • @icedfist I personally use Gaspari Nutrition products, I find they are high quality products that perform at the level I'm at. Gaspari Nutrition Real Mass is a gainer protein and Size On Maximum Performance is a lean muscle creatine gainer. Again, I found these products work for me after trying dozens of other stuff. However, if you'd like to try them out, I do recommend them. I also use Super Pump, but at your age you won't need too many supplements. Goodluck lifting!

  • @icedfist I use bodybuilding.cam You can find anything you want and most of it is a fraction of the price (seriously) If you're serious about your appearance, eating and proper rest are even more important than the workouts you perform. Quality foods you'll want to consume are: Brown rice, sweet potato, tuna, chicken, egg whites, oatmeal, with fruits and vegetables. My decision to take my diet more serious has taken my fitness to another level, I advise you try your hardest to do the same.

  • @icedfist Good stuff. You only need 8 hours a night, 10 hours might be over sleeping. Abs aren't about how many crunches you can do, infact they almost do nothing. Abs are the hardest muscle to get and the easiest to lose. Everybody has abs, it's just about the amount of fat that sits in front of them. Once you can reduce the amount of fat sitting in front of your abs, they will begin to show. So, healthy eating and cardio are your abs best friends.

  • @icedfist I don't think there are 'secret' veggies, but I'm not a nutritionist. Eating veggies means you're filling up on healthy foods that won't put fat in front of your abs. I always eat an apple pre-workout for energy, and a banana post-workout to replenish carbs. (They digest quicker from bananas) Other than that just making an effort to implement veggies into each of your meals should help create a balanced physique. Abs take a LOT of work to gain & maintain, so keep to healthy eating.....

  • @icedfist ....and consistent exercise and within time you should begin to see them form. You should be doing cardio 3-4 times a week, before and/or after your workouts for these results....Keep in mind you burn almost twice as many calories while doing cardio AFTER a good workout than you would before. I usually include about 400 crunches, in different sets of 25, when I do my cardio. It seems to be working for me, even though im trying to gain weight

  • @icedfist That sounds good...Except the bacon, it's full of fat and grease you don't need. Also, don't eat white bread, it's one of the worst things you can consume, stick to whole grain. Eat almonds every day, they do a lot including balance your blood sugar level which can help prevent cravings and over-eating. Eat 1-2 apples a day, its 80%+ water which makes you feel more full. Milk is good for you, but also contains fat. If you get your calcium from yogurt you will cut down some of the fats.

  • @icedfist You seem to be eating well and I trust you're work outs are taking you to failure. I read that guys comment about 11-14 hours sleep...sigh...8 hours is all you need. You can OVER and UNDER sleep, both effect how you perform in everyday activities, namely, the gym. Just make sure you're taking the proper supplements for the results you're looking for. Also, don't take too many, you should only need 2-3 supplements aside from things like flax seed, multi vitamins, and etc.

  • @icedfist That's a shame. Since you were so young and ate so well I wondered why you weren't getting those results. Supplements are a huge difference maker. I live in Ontario, Canada, and here we can buy Hydroxycut in Shoppers Drug Mart. Whether or not you have that store, or that product, it's famous for great fat loss. If you have a workout partner, have him/her order some supps & keep them at their house for you. I don't know what else to say. Talk to your local supp store for capsule advice

  • @icedfist You're a little unfortunate with the location you live. Also, there are LOTS of supplements out there that help you get big and cut. Again, I use Gaspari Nutrition Size On, it's pretty much a creatine. I've also seen almost every big name in bodybuilding using Muscle Tech, maybe you should look into some of their stack formulas. But hey, it's nice to see a youngster like yourself so dedicated to your goals. I hope you can apply your determination in fitness to everything else in life.

  • @icedfist haha, I'm actually watching Pat Curran vs. Roger Huerta on Bellator right now. Around here there are a few good clubs to join that specialize in MMA training. I live in London, Ontario, the same place Sam Stout lives, so he has a gym around here with some other guys and they train MMA. Weights & MMA training are two completely different things. if you really want to get into MMA, I suggest you try to find a gym that will train you for that purpose, it'll take you a long way.     im only 18.. so we both have nearly same bodystatus.. and i can tell ya powerlifting and doggcrapp are both very good methodes... especially for us youngsters... and of course much sleep 11-14h per day... much lowfat quark, eggs and lowfat milk. try to increase your weights and try different exercises... and thats all.

    24 weeks is not long enough to change your body significantly. Each person gains muscle at different rates, some slowly, some quickly. If you got bigger and stronger at all, that means your training was working. Just make sure to push yourself further as you get stronger. Go look at the muscle and fitness website. It is free and they have great articles. Watch the "raw" videos by Jim Stoppani, he is knowledgeable and you will get some great ideas. Diet? Calories in = calories out.

  • @90serkan90 Gaining weight is a very slow process, maybe you are not pusing yourself enough. Maybe just stick that tiny bit more weight on for bulking the muscle more. Its best not to give up though, because eventually you will want to workout again and will be back at square 1. Work hard, keep good form and Im sure you will see progress.

  • @90serkan90 dude if ur just doing it in a weightlifting class that might be the problem if urs is anything like mine they dont do shit right just a bunch max this and that im not sayin u cant grow in there but if ur really wantin to grow joining a gym is gonna be ur best bet.

  • @90serkan90 dont lift everyday... make a 2day or 3 day program and try to keep push and pull exercises apart so u dont overtrain.. eat chicken and tuna mostly and 5 times a day gl

  • I have a question, im 16 and i workout pushups situps all those everyday, and when i keep doing it, i get skinnier! Thats not what im aiming for, im aiming for being bigger and stronger not skinnier, any tips? My Teacher told me i needed to eat more, but i cant eat more coz im already eating to the limit.
