they play dead and even can live under water for 24 hours. there webs are epic they have trip lines shaped like a funnel hence there name and we ready it comes out and kills anything that hit the trip line even people.
good day gustaria me to obtain a unit, I am student of Biology of gustaria Argentinean and to know to me if of some form podrias to send a unit to me country by system track and draws up? I you pagaria by wenster very valuable union thank you very much .seria the aid for my knowledge
astonishing it the way that it attcks after provoked the fangs are out to sting. probably if a funnel web finds a place to stay a make its nets seems ok ...but when the male comes for her mate after a raining day .. then problems may occur ...check your shoes in the garden always if you leave them outside...
lol that spider should be like the postcard for australia. hey come to australia! u may get bitten by one of these buggers and die, but hey. the koalas are mighty cute!!!
Cool video...but I darn well don't want to see one of those on the loose. Here in the US the most venomous spiders are the Black Widow and Brown Recluse.
I heard that Daddy Longlegged Spiders actually have the most lethal venom. But because of their small fangs, they pose no threat to humans. Funnel Webs take the rank of deadliest because of the potent venom, as well as the massive fangs to administer it. But again this is only what I heard.
A common story that is in fact a myth. Daddy Longlegs are not spiders and are not venomous. They have no need for venom because they are not predators and eat only inert foods.
Frank gave me the link to film, good one!~the very name of this critter gives me terrors although I love spiders, I have friendlier one lives at my back door!!
wow absoluterly awsome you know a lot about spiders i am impressed how she stayed there rearing up and staying in the same spot you my freind are a exelent spidertoligist! :)
I was in Australia on holiday from england and came to the reptile park on my birthday 28th April 2007. And after went to see the Sydney Swans play at The Sydney Cricket Ground. p.s. Sorry to hear about Eric. Greetings from billy

Both would die from each others venom: similar to Funnel-web vs Funnel-web.
Funnelweb is strong for its size. Both are agressive.

Sydney Funnelweb Vs. Brazilian Wandering Spider... I'm yet to see that match one day!
coolassdude 4 years ago 2
i would really like to see that.
ryan20202 3 years ago
Lol the Funnelweb would crush it. Its like 5 times bigger than the wandering spider and its fangs would destroy it easily.

I heard that about the daddy longlegged spiders also. It's kind of weird because it seems like we have about a hundred around our house and yard.

The Daddy Longlegged has been proved not to have any venum at all. It was just a fib.

This is actually a myth that the Daddy long Legs has the most poisonous venom. It's not true
