i am sorry it took me a while to find out that you had replied. anyway, when you say 'stay there' does that mean not developing? i am sorry, i kinda didn't understand the later parts but the 'stay at the beggining' really caught my attention. it either sounds so right, or it sounds very wrong.

Shunru Suzuki had a very nice book called "Zen Mind Beginner's Mind." I think the idea is to approach experience with a fresh perspective, rather than through "conditioning" or habit, so that learning keeps happening. Then Nick is relating this to a profound idea in physics, that physical reality might be new in every instant, so that it could actually morph like magic, theoretically.

there is no specific cause for any event. That is, there is an infinite amount of causes that bring about each event. Everything is interconnected, so the idea of an isolated, singular cause for an event doesn't really apply.
