I love watching this because I'd love to compete bareback:) I love running bareback and I love barrel racing and it's just too bad I haven't come across a smalltown or state horse show or rodeo here that offers the combination of the two in a competition! Maybe someday our tight turns will get us where we can enter in the real competitions so me and my horse can have fun playing against the big kids & how we like it, BAREBACK:) this is a great video and some great riding!!

so impressive. I find this video inspirational. an also this gal is a true barrel racer a good majority of the ladies that do this cant ride their horses in halter an bareback. I high five this gal. it shows that this girl doesnt jus talk a big game like the rest of these barrel racers. u can tell she gives credit to her horse an i like that :) so awesome job keep it up :)

I love the slow mo' where I can see you petting your horse's neck after the first barrel, what a connection! I sure do miss riding my mare bareback. There's something special about your horse carrying you bareback. I remember it almost felt like a blessing to me. :)

i could do that on my horse first time i ever flat out ran on a horse was bareback haha for some reson i have really good balance in a saddle but i have even better balence bareback haha i do barrels bareback about everyday hes a 6 year old paso/qauter people think hed b slow but he isnt haha it can somtimes b hard goin around the barrels fast but u just losein up on the reins and hang on haha

Great job, Steph! I am impressed. I get tired of the crappy posture and so many riders being behind their horse's movement when they run barrels. This is a great example of how good balance and posture and moving WITH the horse means you don't need a saddle or a bit to get your horse to run! Thanks for posting this!

Thanks Everyone!!! Started riding horses bareback when I was 4. Didn't really have to practice riding bareback before making this run. It was like riding a bike, something you just never forget ;) He's just a cool horse to run, especially in a halter lol.
