Camaros and the sort were meant for racing. The feat accomplished here is that a truck (which trucks really aren't meant for racing because of their inherent design of being light in the rear and not aerodynamically friendly) was built with a small block and his less than 11 seconds on the quarter. Anything less than 13 on a quarter in a TRUCK is an accomplishment. They are heavy vehicles not shaped for racing.
David Carr was racing the blue and silver chevy truck in the left lane at the beginning. This was his 4th Pinks All Out. He ran a 10.9 later on motor.
Quick correction. David Clark I believe is his name. He was sitting behind us in the stands during the finals on Saturday. He also signed a picture for me and he showed my dad, my wife and I under the hood of the truck. Sweet ride.

His wife Becky sent me a video of him at another Pinks race when he broke down and his friends were screaming for Rich to go kick his ass. Him and his wife were pretty cool.

I can't remember his name, but he was cool too. He had all sorts of odd ball tools in his pocket and when we needed a light to see under the hood of the truck, he had one.
We were the 2001 yellow GT convertible with the white top and the 89 LX and the black s10. Don't know about the guy you are talking about but was he the one with the red Lightning pulling the yellow GT mustang?
10.90 on motor is that all w e were there with a black 68 maro that runs 10.50 on motor
