  • Now now, don't pick on the people less fortunate.

But, yes... he should be prime minister.

  • I Love Nigel! I Was There! And He Served Me Yesterday! Wooooo. Love You Nigel! x

  • Nigel, you are a legend but shaking hands with you was like shaking hands with a few pounds of ham.

  • lmao i dont even know him but hes halarious! Thats a fine spruce you've got there... a fine spruce!

  • a fine spruce indeed ... you get it mate ... i think the fella is real funny ....

  • I've Known Nigel For 10 Years!

  • If I was Nigel, I'd be looking for some groupies to see to my sausage. He might not get one under 65 though.

  • What a sweet man-so unusual-a legend.

  • Hes abit wierd :S

  • Nigel made the TV news here in Australia too ... And several newspapers. What a nice person... Better than the shop assistants that continue their conversations with each about their boyfriends and going out while they serve you and don't even acknowledge that you are there. Fantastic story!

  • Inspirational.

  • He punched me in the face when I was on a night out. He also threw me out my wheelchair and kicked me. He's not that nice

  • I believe you sir. while buying some new christmas lights in store I got to the counter to find that several bulbs were broken. i politely asked Nigel if he would replace them and what happened next will never leave me. I was chased around the store as he spat at me and tried to strangle me with fairy lights whilst shouting "Nasty Nigel's gonna get ya!" I have never been back.

  • What a load of rubbish. Anyone who knows Nigel, knows he would never do that. Okay? He isnt a bad person. Get real. If you are gonna lie, make it realistic. The people of Portishead know him and love him. I do. Woop. x

  • Or he might kill people...

  • Wow, you must be American.

But no, I'm sure Nigel wouldn't do that.

  • @jameswsparker LMAO i cracked up at the america comment

i was born and raised in portishead till i was like 7 and then my family decided to move over to america

so i know exactly what americans are like.

i cant wait to go to homebase and see nigel parker next time i visit!

  • what a fantastic guy, this guy is a legend.

  • got sponcered and promoted my Homebase Much?

  • yeah really friendly guy we need more of him ^^

  • v refreshing to c sum1 hu is so nice!

  • I was listening to him on the BBC radio, it's horrible what women have said about him who haven't even met him before.

  • Who? When? Where? I haven't heard any bad stuff about him.

  • The Jeremy Vine show - sets up arguements - nothing to be offended about. As Christine Hamilton says about the issue: The proof of the pudding is the eating. And Portishead has certainly eaten this up.

  • Makes you think, doesn't it?

Somebody acting exactly the same way every day, being nice, being polite, getting the entire Portishead community behind him - he is a star & a legend & it made me proud to witness the switch-on of the lights done by someone who cares.

    Nigel, we salute you ...

  • put a little bit in, get a lot out

  • Apparently he eats puppies and uses live kittens as toilet paper.

  • Nigel Parker is a genuinely good person that gives something back th the community instead of selfish people who only take. Jason Smith is another, he was the guy that floored local yob Les Andrews under severe provocation which was widely publicized in The Sun newspaper.

I salute Nigel Parker and Jason Smith you deserve all your praise!

  • Nigel, there couldn't be anyone better to turn on the lights.
