@TheRealLouiseJ what I do to get blunted tips is to back comb and twist and rip the hair at the tip. Do this until you have a solid ball of hair. If you use products like loc peppa, then put a bit in now (not wax!). Then take the crochet hook (as small as you can get) and poke it downwards so that you're grabbing hairs from the tip and pulling them into the lock. Do this until you are satisfied. But be warned, blunted tips hold water a lot longer than lose or natural ones.
@sanne201100 soak your hair in the shower, put a non oil base shampoo in your hair (oil's make em fall apart,) and then you squeeze the shampoo into the locks. When you are finished you just let the water wash out the shampoo, and you squeeze them again to drain the water. It's really not that difficult, and you can do multiple dreads at a time. But, in a nutshell... that's how you wash dreads :) You have to wash em too! Or else the oils from your head will make em fall out.

How long have you had yours that you could take one out? There comes a time when nothing will take them out. I've had mine for 5 years. Not that I would try to, but I could soak them in conditioner for a week and they won't untangle enough to come out. Maybe the last 1 inch would loosen. But I'd say after 1-1.5 years, they're stuck as they are. only cutting will get them out.

Also a pencil, leaves, confetti, Bed Mites, a Tic insect, there was even a little mouse that kept peeking and going back in, I was very surprised. There was Milkshake droppings, French Fries, Feathers, a used condom, a sock, a boot, a Alarm Clock and a Stove !
Dreads are cool man, but if you sweat they start to smell like Maggot Cheese because of all the bacteria eating the sweat, grim and dirt. Even if you wash regularly, infact the more you wash them the worse the smell gets because they are hard to dry. @greekdeva7 i've had my dreads for about 2 and a half months and they are relatively easy to take out, with conditioner rubbed into them, besides when you get to the root, then its a bit rough, but other than that it's been fair easy :) hope this helps...
Okay so I just find a faster way to take it out.Take a wall pin,stick it in the begging of your dread and just pull it down it.Peace four peace and it working.I took off mine in a about 2 min.Lol. People wear dreads four years and I made my and took it off in 5 min. Crazy but thx for making me think to make me more dreads. :D

All you really need is the Take Down Remover Cream and a metal tip comb- it will really save your time and naturall hair roots. It will save you all the lots & lots of conditoner you are using. The Remover works so much faster as well

I used wax the last time I did dreads and I took them out fine. I didn't use conditioner either. My friend and I just combed them out, but I only had them for about five-six months at that point so that was probably why it was fairly easy without conditioner.
I just put a ton of conditioner in the dreads I had that I wanted out and left it in there for a few good hours and they combed out pretty easily. It took like a few minutes per dread. And actually your hair isn't weaker wet, it's just stretchier, but it shouldn't break any easier.
ive had my dreads going on 3 months, im having a bit of trouble with the ends, i took the bands off the roots and there doing fine however the dreadlock ends are a bit like just normal hair all curled up, you can see them in some of my vids. Is there anything I can do to fully dread the ends up instead of having to keep these bands in ? thanks :) awesome vid, thumbs up!
My first set I was ignorant to the overall disaster that wax is, so I used it. When I took the dreads out it was messy and disgusting and just awful, but wax didn't cause any more or less strain to the hair then my second set I took out. It was just DISGUSTING because it really does build up "cores" inside your hair.
I took out my girlfriends dread the other day, we were going to film it but didnt bother in the end haha. Her hair is bleached to high hell, and crazy curly so it was pretty hard compared to taking one of mine out haha, just comb, teared and conditioner! Didnt even cut any.

They made them too thick and did a shit job. my friend said i looked like a boy. spent the next 10 days wearing my hooded jumper and taking them out. I have really curly hair so soaked each dread in water first than added HEAPS of conditioner. So becareful if u get someone else to do them!

I used wax the last time I did dreads and I took them out fine. I didn't use conditioner either. My friend and I just combed them out, but I only had them for about five-six months at that point so that was probably why it was fairly easy without conditioner.

I just put a ton of conditioner in the dreads I had that I wanted out and left it in there for a few good hours and they combed out pretty easily. It took like a few minutes per dread. And actually your hair isn't weaker wet, it's just stretchier, but it shouldn't break any easier.

ive had my dreads going on 3 months, im having a bit of trouble with the ends, i took the bands off the roots and there doing fine however the dreadlock ends are a bit like just normal hair all curled up, you can see them in some of my vids. Is there anything I can do to fully dread the ends up instead of having to keep these bands in ? thanks :) awesome vid, thumbs up!

My first set I was ignorant to the overall disaster that wax is, so I used it. When I took the dreads out it was messy and disgusting and just awful, but wax didn't cause any more or less strain to the hair then my second set I took out. It was just DISGUSTING because it really does build up "cores" inside your hair.

I took out my girlfriends dread the other day, we were going to film it but didnt bother in the end haha. Her hair is bleached to high hell, and crazy curly so it was pretty hard compared to taking one of mine out haha, just comb, teared and conditioner! Didnt even cut any.

@xxzxczx I got my dreads today, almost yesterday, and i can't help but thinking that i look like snoop dog.
The lady that made them kind of sewed fake hair in to my own hair, after back combing. *probably because mine's so thin.
Then stuck some goo in it, the told me to use beeswax, and i wondered if i coud just stop using the wax after a while.
BTW: i LOOOVEEE that you have got your own personal music taste, and not the mainstream, i hate mainstream!, that's probably one of the reasons i got it
