I loved this and am very glad you put this on, even if my friendss think I'm insane for even mentioning this.... anyways, I was wondering where you got the script! I've been searching the internet for weeks trying to find it, and the website is down. Much appreciated!
I'm trying out for the part of Ms. Peacock, does anyone have some tips on how I can embrace her character fully and sound like her? Is she suppose to have a British accent?
No@pinkpokadot07 no, mrs. Peacock does not have a british accent. The best advice you will ever recieve: make STRONG choices. Don"t make a choice just because it would be funny, etc. Have a reason for everything you do. What is the motive behind each word? And also, don't EVER copy someone elses' character choices. That is setting yourself up for disastor. It is ok to get ideas and inspiration.. but the bulk of it should come from you. Good luck.
@pinkpokadot07 Hi pinkpokadot07, I'm John Pope (Prof. Plum in this video). Peacock doesn't really have a set accent in the show. So you don't HAVE to do one, but you can. The same goes for most of the characters. As far as songs go, do something that shows off her singing style in her solo song "Once A Widow". Smooth, pretty, show-off-y, something of the sort. Hope I could help.
I'm a tim curry-vangelist, and I love the movie version of clue. I basically have it memorized. Of course being in theatre for twelve years I am pretty sure I want to direct this. It gives me the creative freedom I need. How many laughs did you get for your show?
@kaylaisanerd Yeah, it was a great show. If gave the actors a lot of freedom for character choices, and plenty of creative freedom for the director.. The hardest part was the set honestly. Since the school has no backstage, we could not bring anything off or on stage. so we had to have 6+ rooms without taking anything off stage. We got the most laughs from choices the actor/director took, not necessarily the 'funniest' lines in the script. It was a good show, I'd recommend it.
@TheActingAddict Thanks! That's exactly why I post these. So that people can get ideas and learn from our mistakes. I'm glad someone has gotten something out of it. :) I hope your production goes well.
@Beccawonthegame Lol(: I've gotten a lot out of this, and don't listen to the mean comments!! You guys can sing magnificently!!! And your welcome(: Thank you again as well(:
I enjoy seeing these things. Much can be learned in areas of what to do and what not to do in some cases. So there is merit, no matter how skilled or "professional" the performers and the production are.
@parkguy505 I'm so sorry we don't live up to your standards of musical theater. Criticism is appreciated, but insults are not. Unless, of course, you are of high authority to insult us. But I'm assuming you're either in high school or college, maybe younger, therefore I don't appreciate your slander. A lot of people put a lot of time into this, and you know what? It was good.
JUST GOT CAST AS MRS. WHITE IN MY B&G CLUB MUSICAL :) So excited!!! This girl is my inspiration, I'm feeding from her performance! Haha thanks!

I'm writing a Clue fanfic with the characters as teens. How do you think the suspects would act as teens? And Mr. Boddy?

no, we are just a regular high school. we just are really fortunate to have an amazing director and an amazing range of actors.
Peacock is very sensual but also a little bit clueless.
we just did jungle book, and Godspell and they were both real good too.
