After being uploaded youtube makes all videos 30fps so theres no point having 60 in the first place, I believe.

why do you have blend fields on? hd pvrs don't record in an interlaced form, so a deinterlace method isn't needed. :3 i just noticed that.

I know you most likely will not get this or respond to this but I have seriously looked everywhere and tried everything, and nobody seems to have the same problem, whenever I hit "Disable re-sample" it honestly does NOTHING. I'm positive that it should because my clips have a great amount of ghosting and I want to fix this! I doubt you'll have a solution but pleeeeeaase let me know man.

do not disable resample. Thats just dumb. Resampling takes the frames and combines them to one better quality picture and it looks smother.

@OperatorPerry Perry I have a question, Whenever I render in 60FPS and try to view it there is a HUGE amount of audio lag, is it because that WMP can only handle 30FPS?, but reaches to were when my friends send me clips it plays fine, but it is in MP4, and whenever I try ti render in in MP4 format the quality isn't that great, Pixels sometimes get messed up. If you know the answer, that would be much help :D

My question is : Is it a better idea to create a template, so when ever you want to make a video, it is set at 960 x 540 and the Framerate is at Double NTSC, so you never have to change them, or should I always open it in a regular template, click Disable aspect ratio to get rid of big black lines and do all the steps Perry has said?

@xGWz Depending on your raw video format. If its on 4:3 Aspect Ratio. Pan/crop it and make it 16:9. Or remove aspect ratio in properties.

when you upload a file to youtube it could be anythign up to 2gb so each video you watch would be 2gb each so youtube converts them into a format with a really small file size(i dont know the file type i think its flv)

2gb goes down to about 50mb

1024mb=1gb

mp4 converts to smaller file sizes while keeping the picture quality better than wmv

I'm having a problem rendering in Vegas. My capture card records in 60 FPS (not 59.94), so I have my project settings set to 60, resample disabled, and my render settings set to 60 FPS. In the project preview the audio is perfectly in sync, but when I render to audio is slightly out of sync.

Hey Perry. So earlier this morning, I uploaded a video to Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 to edit and the video covered the entire screen and everything was alright (it was an HD video). I turn the computer off and came back a few hours later to edit another video. When I imported the video onto Vegas, it was only displaying the top left corner of the video and I am unsure how to change this. It was an HD video as well. Even when I rendered it, it was still cut off. How do I fix this??

@Fyoder Try this, look where the preview box is. Look above it, and look where it shows the quality set. (Best Full, Preview Quarter, etc). Now look to the left. It looks like a square with a shaded circle inside and two colors on each side. If it is highlighted, then it is activated. Just click the icon and the full screen should pop up. Did that work?

Quality for me is shit unless I switch it from CBR to Quality VBR. I'm guessing this has to do with the recorder's codec as I am using a PC recorder. Might switch to Xbox soon.

@blackice364 Record the sound with a simple program and your mic, save it on your hard drive, then take the footage and polish it, import it to Vegas with the commentary on top (sync it), and then lower the volume of the clip so the commentary is higher, render and upload.

ok so, do you record your gameplay at 1080i because for some reason if i try to record any lower it doesnt record, and the poblem with the 1080i is that it when i bring it into sony vegas it has random black frames throughout the video as if the pvr skipped over that part when it was recording.
