Por lo menos, alguien que de veras deja al caballo correr para demostrar que mantiene el paso. Me enferma cuando hacer forzar al caballo dar el paso sin apenas moverse de donde está parado, eso es un abuso del jinete. (Como el gordete del caballo blanco que sale en la competencia) Y me gustó también que corrió al caballo en la suave arena de la playa. Caminar mucho sobre concreto o asfalto lastima los cascos del caballo; de ahí que inventaran las herraduras para protegerlos del abuso humano.

i have a big paso fino mare shes pregnant and fat and because of her weight i dont move an inch while she moves it an incredible thing to not have any jitter while riding a horse

@Calicat1994 those horses have alot of strenght and if you dont pull on the reins the horse will gallop and you will loose control it happened to me once never done the same mistake again to go loose on reins

@Cytr0gen I understand, I have been around gaited breeds most of my life, although not paso finos, but I have been around those that you have have to heavey handed with, and are always on the bit. but this rider is incredably light in the reins and it is a joy to see a truely well trained horse with a trainer who seems to know what he is doing. I always find that beautiful to watch not matter the breed or discipline.

@7466309change Pasos that I have cantered feel like any other horse, though sometimes a bit smoother. And yes they are 15hh usually ranging from 14.2-15.2hh

My Paso Fino mare is 13.3 hands and I am 5 feet tall and 100 lbs. I think she is just the right size for me and there is no way I would ever allow a 200 lb. person to ride her. She may be able to handle it, but I wouldn't ask her to.

I think that Puerto Rican should give that horse to his 10 year old. The horse must be saying " Punyeta pick on the Bud Wieser horse Maricon!!!!!". That Jibaro for sure is at least over 3/4 over the horses weight.

pasos can easily carry over 300 lbs, pretty impressive considering most of them are 14-15hh; this horse could carry a much bigger rider with ease and without danger to his health or well-being while maintaining a smooth and consistent gait, even for trail riding

I don't know much about Paso Finos as a breed but that rider looks way too big for his mount. Any horse CAN carry 2/3rds his weight. Its a matter of "IF he SHOULD".

Paso Finos are a small, but strong breed and routinely carry large adults over their long, usefull life without soundness issues. Better than what can be said of their larger cousin, the Peruvian Paso. Just because a breed is large, it doesn't mean they can can carry more weight and visa versa.

Thats hogwash, I ride a horse to fit MY size to evenly distribute my weight. Not only that but it LOOKS correct. Guess it depends on each person individually and I prefer my way of choosing a ride.

See in Paso Finos they judge the looks of the horse not the rider and what the rider looks like on the horse. I have a 14.0HH Performance stallion and my trainer is 6.0ft , yes it does look a little strange but it hasent stopped my horse from winning

You would be surprised how much weight these horses can carry and take. I own Paso Finos and I think they are the stongest small breed and have the biggest heart. Little comes in BIG oackages

Este animal lo veo como un buen caballo de paseo o de competencia de caballos de pueblo.Buen animal pero de paseo.Personalmente he tenido 2 hijos del Director bien castados y ninguno salio como se esperaba.Aun no he visto un hijo del Director que sea grandes ligas.

PAso FIno horses are not really tall horses, they are medium size rather. This horse is a Paso Fino horse, but he's from Puerto Rico. Puerto RIco has jus as goog, if not better, PAso FIno horses as COlombia.
