Together alone with Flamberge, the Vorpal Sword forms the Twin Blade Set: Material Blades. They are most often [apparently] weld by Lloyd Irving from Symphonia, but can be used by various others who dual wield in the Tales series.

@RisingDawnof2and4 Vorpal is in the little extra part, next to Mt Roneal (where the torches are for you to obtain the final Flightstone). When getting Mieu Fire 2, head towards the right for a longer path you have to unlock with Mieu Fire and Flamberge is in the room next to it.

Same thing as the Japanese version. Eject the disc while on the world map and just travel towards Mt. Roneal/Mt Zaleho respectively. Pop the disc back in when you're at the destination.

lolz about vorpal and flamberge, they are just so popular because of Tales of Symphonia - Kratos sword is the flamberge and vorpal is originally designed by dirk, the dwarf who raised lloyd but in tales of the abyss i guess they mention nothing more than elemental-swords

The Vorpal Sword and Flamberge are two parts of the Eternal Sword Yggdrasil used. They were split apart so Lloyd could use it.

Which is why in Tales of Phantasia you have to get those two swords in order to re-forge the sword again to defeat Dhaos.

u dont need any map glitch or anything

u go to mt roneal when its enterble

go to the 2nd part of it.look at the frozen lake go down from the foward just a bit

and west and walk down and theres the vorpal

Its accessible, but long. People use the map glitch in order to obtain it much earlier in order to make their lives much easier, especially on Unknown mode. By the time you have access to Mt. Roneal storyline-wise, you would probably have weapons comparable to the Vorpal. Accessing the Vorpal Sword using the map glitch is a work around the 1 damage/hit that Unknown throws out early in the game (birds, Liger Queen, etc) if you don't want to waste money on the Dragon Killer in Chesidonnia.

Vorpal sword is in an optional area, but it pretty much sucks. Flamberge is the same. Just go for the coliseum or cataclyst.

its not a glitch... just make sure u have lots of gels... lava hurts.

and if u saved shiba at aramis springs then u'll be able to get thru the volcano safely later by checking on him in Keterburg. u can locate the flamberge and get Meiu fire 2. if u got mieu wings from the hidden cave at Tateroo Valley. yeah seems like alot but u'll brag about how easy it was later... almost complete my collector's book now

Once when I was fighting the final boss I decided to the flameberge and you could only see 3 dots but for the whole battle. I started to see it when anyone casted a spell a got dark and I saw some of it but, when the spell was over you can't see the sword anymore.

you can get the vorpal sword from the northern entrance to mt roneal. you can use map hack to get it or wait till you get the albiore and you're kind of near the end and go to mt roneal and exit from where the sephiroth is then walk a bit east i think it was to the other entrance.
