sea ice can melt. it doesn't matter if it does because it doesn't cause the sea level to rise. there's no need to panic. Ice in a glass that melts in water does not overflow - simple concept. Mars is 95% carbon dioxide and is a freezing planet. The warming comes from the suns solar cycles which are not a product of man. Besides why tax people? Shouldn't they just present the available alternatives to oil such as solar and hydrogen cars.

1) If you pull the air cover off this planet, we will have "instant freeze". The Sun warms the planet which warms the air. The air is thicker near the surface of the Earth and thinner at higher altitudes. So, It's warmer near the surface & colder the higher you go. My point is this; If CO2 levels at 3PM in the afternoon are the same as CO2 levels at 3AM in the morning, why is it always cooler at 3AM in the morning ? What caused that climate change? the civil had nothing to do with slavery.less than 3% in the south owned slaves at that time. Lincoln didn't abide to the constitution by allowing states to claim their sovereignty and secede from the union,it was all about who was going to control western expansion. Lincoln also suspended habeas corpus and jailed anyone who spoke out against the war.thus getting rid of our first amendment. people need to read their history again and get the facts straight..

It is totally an insult that Democrats are trying to link Obama to Lincoln. If anything, Bush was like Lincoln. Lincoln won an election that the Democrats said they would succeed if he was elected. And they want to link themselves to Lincoln? The hate was very similar to the hate Democrats had for Bush. Lincoln and Bush delt with a war that obviously half the country was against. The war did not go well for Lincoln in the beginning and he changed Generals and methods just like Bush had to.

There is absolutely no question anymore about whether global warming is man-made or not, unless you want to ignore scientific opinion. The question now is what do we do about it. Sadly, few people realize the scale of the problem. Who will be elected President in this election could largely influence the future of our planet. I truly believe we'll be better off with Barrack, especially when it comes to the issue that is global warming-global climate change-global change.
