Damn my cat of 14 years died just 5 days ago and I can't tell you people how that hit me. I lost a member of my family, the same day my grandmother was being admitted to the ICU - hearing GM going through it was really comforting. I was starting to feel like I should be ashamed for loving my cat so much.
Why can't the current version of Superman be like the All-Star version? He's kind of a prick, but All-Star he is a much more likable. He'd be a much more popular character among all comic fans if he were more like the All-star version
i gotta say, i think grant morrison is a great writer, when he is NOT writing superheroes, i hated all star, absolutely despised the series right from the first page to the very last word, but i love his other stuff animal man is great (even thought it is a superhero comic, weird huh?), 18 days was great, the invisibles is his magnum opus, as far as im concerned he will never top it
im also hoping his run on action comics is not that long, a year tops is what im hoping for
ive been waiting for this since the first trailer was revealed grant is my favourite writer but i cant find it on dvd for region 2 will it be released in the uk??
WIll There be more then just one all star superman loved the movie best ever will there be more???????????????????? if so when are they going to make another one o and does any one know if there going to make more like this like superman returns and stuff like that the hulk i love the cartoon movies there so cool man please let me know
@BROKENHOUSEFILMS Yeah he'd be picture perfect for the part of Luthor in any Superman film, I'm sure WB could work around a Scottish Lex Luthor, they've had stranger revisions before in lots of their DC comics films in the past ;-) I mean we've had an american John Constantine and Catwoman done up as a stripper :-P But unlike those portrayals Morrison could actually make this work and I wouldn't even mind him saying "SooperMon", I say go for it WB.
i love grant morrison work, how he can understand the kirby superhero cmics and the moore and neil stuff. but is SOOO hard for me to understand him when he speaks :/
Morrison is an awesome writer. His work with Mark Waid, Geoff Johns and Greg Rucka on 52 really got my interest in reading comics. Right now I'm following his work on Batman (Specially looking forward to Batman Inc. #1).
@SkyFoxCode Why pay for it, SkyFoxCode? Well, if you want to see more of these documentaries, then we have to make our money back. You're the problem.
As a young actor/writer these kind of people piss me off. People want more content but they won't support content creators. How the hell can we give them what they want?
God, I wish that Mark Waid/Morrison thing would have gone through. All Star was cool and all, but I wanted to see those two on the regular, in continuity Supes.
When he's flipping through his notes and we see those sketches of Superman, are those his drawings? To my knowledge, Grant Morrison only writes, but maybe he has some penciling skills? Does anybody know?
I wonder if DC executives, who'd known Morrison's visionary nature, would have hired someone to cosplay Superman. I mean (really) if there were an actual Superman, we don't see him today. He's either keeping a (very) low-profile, or has disappeared into another dimension, or was a (real/imagined) manifestation of shamanic/psychoactive visions, or that entire experience was cosplayed into existence. My guess is one of the latter two, but with Grant's reality-bending nature, its all just as likely

@SuperGreyhulk Morrison drew his own scripts for his early British works. You can see smaples floating around the web.
If you pick up the Seven Soldiers TPB, you can see the original character designs he drew himself.
From what little I have seen, I really like his art style. He should draw more.
