The girls you could not name, I think, were Michelle Phillips and Tana Helfer. I would send to the lions some female Brazilians who were very rude to me. In fact, the Americans were very nice 90% of the time.

When the shooting began, I had to hide in another room, with the microphone guy. I couldn't see what was going on. I just stayed there and heard all I could.
Yes. At the very ending of my stay, I did manage to go to Fazenda (=farm) Cachoeira, to see some shooting. It was very boring. Tana Helfer, I think was lying on the sofa, covered by a blanket. A member of the crew showed me some dark cloth attached to the window to pretend to be night. In fact it was around 10 a.m.

"Cachoeira" is the name of the farm where that house is located. It is in the town of Vassouras, Rio de Janeiro District, Brasil. The animals were brought from the U.S. by Mr Ralph Helfer, who also produced the sixties series, Daktari.

I cannot enlighten you about the editing they did in the movie. Tom Skerrit came to Vassouras, Brasil. He shot some scenes there. I talked to him and to his daughter. I think her name was Eileen, Irene or something like that.

Not only did I talk to Shawn Stevens, but also to Tana Helfer, Derick Patridge, Eva Kiritta (who got bitten by a lioness), Walter Mallet, Tom Skerrit, Michelle Phillips and her daughter China. I also had contact with producers: Sandy Howard and Ralph Helfer. I moved to Mara Palace Hotel, in Vassouras. I was awakened at 4 a.m., in some occasions, to receive some of the actors who were arriving. No one in the hotel spoke a word of English. Just myself.
