Evaporation is what occurs to initially suspend the water molecules in the air (liquid-->gas). Then when the air falls below the saturation point (can be done by cooling or change in pressure) condensation occurs (gas-->liquid). Although clouds are still technically in the gas state it should be noted that they are very close to the transition point between gas and liquid (very close to the point where precipitation would occur if pressure conditions were low enough)

what bit are you reffering to?
saturation is the point at which the maximum amount of water vapour is 'suspended' in the air
condensation is the formation of a liquid from a gas, suspended in air, to clouds
the water vapour is a vapour (gas)
the clouds are more dense than vapour so they are liquids
