brians voice has changed alot you can actually hear subtle changes in his voice 96,98,99,2000 his voice changed a little on each of those years,he still hits all the big high notes but no way at all is he as good as he was,96-98 awesome watch his one last cry version on you tube and that was his voice at his best,also his voice on who do you love is amazing,black and blue was the album where brian and ajs voice both changed,we all know aj and brian were by far the best singers in bsb.

yea ajs voice has changed,i liked his voice in the millenium album,really smoothe,and brians,think the mellinium tour must have took its toll on there voices!!still sound good here tho

i dont think he sounds terrible he has a good voice still but not in comparrison to the aj of 96-99,you can tell the difference on the black and blue album how his voice is more scratchy,if you watch old live clips of ill never break your heart etc he sounds amazing,even brian have you listened to brian from then to now??no way near the same

yea ,I also always admired his voice.But Brians changes , is natural changes , he'e getting old.. yes he might be off tune sometimes..but he still able to hit high notes. Yes Aj is also become old man ( 30),but he's struggling while he sings.Sometimes he avoids the high notes even, and trying to sing differently, so nobody will note his voice cracks. His voice become very tough since he started to smoke.:(

I agree with what u said about brian~ Aj's voice's obviously rougher prolly cuz of smoking, but i think he still has, or had, a naturally good voice. Over the yrs it's become scratchy, but i find it as something that's significant about his voice and kinda like a unique style of his. ^^ But talking about him avoiding high notes and singing different notes, i don't think aj does it more than nick does. Nick always avoid the high notes and u can also hear a little scratchyness from his voice too.

well i totally disagree, Nick does more high notes than AJ, especially in Inconsolable. and in other songs.. Even if he dont have that high notes originally in records for these songs. But when Aj takes ( or want to take) he sounds he's screaming??!! not singing...

Yea, i get u, but the high notes that nick sings live r still not as high as the ones in the studio version, most likely cuz those original high notes in the studio version r too high, for if he sang those notes live, he'd prolly end up like aj or go out of breath. I agree, aj sounds kinda bad when he loses his voice and kinda 'screams' instead of sings when it gets to high notes... ^^" But originally i think he could sing high notes, but over the yrs... he ends up screaming sometimes. ^^"

I agree. I prefer to watch theirs past shows, Millenium and Black & Blue, sometimes Never Gone.

But their voices brilliant and very smooth in 98'. But then Nick didnt grow up enough, his voice was sounding little bit childish.

Yeah, i agree with Orlanda2007. Brian's voice has changed, of course, but i think the change is quite little and his voice is still pretty good, considering that he can still sing high notes. But he does sometimes go off key when the notes r too low for him cuz his voice is naturally high, i think. And brian's voice certainly doesn't have that scratchyness that aj or nick has a lot in their voices.

Brian's voice naturally is very heart melting. Some songs are very fit to his voice, "I'll Never break.." ( especially if you would listen this song of 97-98), Show me the meaning" Shape of my heart" etc.

he dont need to be scratchy , otherwiase the balance in chorus would be disproportionate.

I think u've misunderstood what i meant. I meant that brian not having that scratchyness in his voice is definitely a good thing! I don't reckon that he could 'make' his voice scratchy to make the chorus disproportionate (like u said) or whatever, but yeah, i think it's great that brian's voice is still more genuine and smoother, at least than aj and nick... ^^
