I have a very very rare copy of the Love Gun album by KISS ( on cassette) that contains 2 Sailor songs : One drink too many and Cool breeze!!
These songs are sung by Paul Stanley , the music identical i think , Paul sings it great ! KISS was looking for such a song and "Then she kissed me" made it on the album.
I was 12 and totally in love with Sailor. At 21.45 h "late at night" the show was on tv. My parents did not allow me to watch it. "You need to be fresh in the morning to go to school". I of course got up and peeked through the peeping hole in the door. I saw Georg from the nose downwards, but - that was ok. Better than nothing! Years later, when I was about 27 - and by then had met Georg - for the first time I saw the whole show.
Sailor were like many bands of the 70s very much undervalued. Its only since YouTube when fans post classic songs like this one that gives everyone a chance to (re)discover this great band. This song is the TOPS , so melancholy and wistful, superb. Many thanks for the post, keep them coming !!!
Songs from the heart for the heart ~ One of the best! I sung it live on the radio with our radio-chief on guitar, 3 years before, totally spontanius. He walked into my live-show with a guitar, wish I had a copy of that.Anyway: Thanks to THE SAILOR/Georg Kajanus for another lovely song ! ~~~

This video includes and shows all the good reasons which made me fall in love at 1st sight and tune with this band way back in 1976.
