  • Wouldn't the tape be suspicous evidence? With that key ring its not very noticable, but if you used the tape on any other key it would look suspicous, or if there was fishing wire tied around it.

  • In the American dub Harley is Canadian he's from Alberta

  • Even tho its just a show, u gotta be 1 smart mofo 2 thinkbof this

  • How the fuck do you think this up?!?!

  • assassins

  • may i ask which episode is this from?

  • A clever trick, Harley, but I'm afraid you're wrong.

  • what is the title of this episode?

  • Someone should test this

  • @ReynaldoRiv well there were 2 keys, But they ruled out his wife who had the second key, and she had the key the whole time. But they knew he was murdered. He was stabbed with poisoned in the neck after after all. If i was going to poison my self i would like drink it. and to stab your self in such a awkward way?

  • what ep is this?

  • deadbolt.

  • wait how did he open the door at the end if he just locked it?

  • Why cant you just lock the open door, walk over and put the key in his pocket, then walk out and close the locked door behind you?

    0.o

  • @glovester because this was the nineties when they have such advanced technology such as doorknob catches that flip back when placed in locked position and trying to close a door.

  • Whoever writes Detective Conan is brilliant. I just wish Ace Attourney games had schemes this intricate. Well, they are this intricate, but not this practical.

I'm only halfway through the new Edgeworth game; maybe there's a sealed room case in the second half! Fingers crossed!

  • how does he open the door after he returns the key? dun dun DUNNNN

  • Stumbled. Perfectly plausible, haha.

  • stumbled from UK- WALES

  • think about it this way, normal doors only lock with a key from the out side, and since you cant lock the door until its all ready closed there is no way out.

  • im aware of what its meant to accomplish, but cant you just lock the door while its still open, put the key into the dead guys pocket, then leave and close the door while its locked, thus shutting and still being locked?

  • well i guess maybe if its an older door that doesnt allow it to be closed after its locked, like the locking mechanism is a rectangle (not slanted like they are nowadays)

  • What and ruin the plot?

  • Uh, how do you close a door that's already locked?

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuugh they totally murdered the voices when they dubbed over it! If you're going to dub, at least get people who can manipulate their voices like proper actors!!

  • And i give you a perfectly sealed room... while i open the door :P

  • Well... wouldn't the tape on the key be evidence?

  • just tie a knot and break it off by pulling, the keys arent coming through the pants....

  • Kind of useless with interior locking mechanisms.

  • Scary. I watched Case Closed couple years ago and it's always been one of my favorite animes.

Now up until just recently, I finally started reading the manga online (Hell, even still reading) since I'm too cheap to buy all the volumes.

And I was just watching a clip from this episode again. 'Cuz, I mean. This is one of the best episodes really.

  • And it makes sense if it was for a forum.

D8 They changed the places? That sucks! I mean, I know Shinichi became Jimmy (yeah I definitely see the connection there...) and Ran became Rachel...but jeez. Tokyo = China Town? It's just madness...I mean, who were those edits for?

  • epic show

  • I think I saw this on CSI

  • .... How'd he walk in the room at the end?

  • Haha, I was thinking the same thing

  • I was going to say the same thing, but he didn't actually lock the door, he just pushes it in and we assume he pulls it out.

  • wow that guy is good

  • touche

  • Hey, it went in !!!

  • That's wat she said!!!!

  • I don't get it lol can i have some1 explain it to me in detail lol. (Without them calling me an idiot for nothing getting it).

  • OH NVM I Just got it lol

  • ...What about the tape?

  • Normally the tape would be found, but in this case the tape was placed on the inside of a key chain that slides apart.

The only flaw w/ this method is that tape is left behind. The murderer tried to compensate for this by placing the tape in a hidden section of the key chain.

The method is ingenious, if not a little risky.

  • in the first place?

  • If I ever murder someone I'll have to try this!

  • lol, oh really now

  • Better hope the cops didn't watch this episode :D

  • "... I give you a perfectly sealed room" he says as he opens the supposedly locked door. ^^

  • He did not turn the key. The door was never locked. He only inserted the key to make the noise so everyone on the other side of the door knows when the murderer would have locked it.

Since this was only a demonstration there was no need to turn the key and lock it for real.

  • @SilkSwe he didn't lock it if you see he just pushed the key in

  • God damn creative criminals.

    They stole my bike

  • Balter needs to explain this shit to Beatrice.

  • That man is a genius.

    Fuck Sherlock Holmes.
