Try Grabbing the disk tray and forcefully push it in and out repeatably.

(Not TOO Hard though)

I've used it on multiple 360s, works every time.

Your best bet is to completely disassemble your 360 and put petroleum jelly on all mechanical parts.

Maybe clean it up a little.

I did it to my 360 and it doesn't have that problem anymore.

i have to keep inserting and ejecting the disk and then when i try to play raging blast 2 it takes too long to load and i'll wait 30 mins and it still hadnt loaded yet but i play assassins creed 1, 2 and brotherhood and i dont get that much of a problem with it

Ok whenever I put a game in my disk tray the thing closes and the disk drive tries to read it. I can hear it trying but it just can't. I hear a "clunk, clunk, clunk, buhhhhhhhh" noise, and it's always exactly like that. It doesn't even recognize that there is a game in there because it only give me a choice to "open tray". Do you know how to fix that?

i dont know if anyones has tried this but it just worked for me, listen when u put ur disc in if u dont here there motor working try this. open up ur cd rom and take the cd rest off the disc motor, if the pin that goes down in the motor is black and dirty, clean it off and clean in the hole it goes into. put some white lythium gease on it ( if u dont have any scape some off from inside the rom somewhere) put it all together and it should work

360= 33% failure rate

PS3= 1.7% failure rate

Also 360 could never do graphics like Killzone 2, Uncharted 1 and 2, Metal Gear solid, or God of War 3..

PS3 is more reliable, better value, free online, with better games present and future.

Actually genius hes nearer helping than you,Its got NOTHING to do with the "rubber slide" (?!).To cure this COMPLETELY without WHACKING the drive (WTF!) simply unscrew the drives top casing and place a circle of sticky tape on top of the magnet at the centre of where your disk lies when placed in the drive and this should do it. FACT: This is caused by the magnet hitting the top case connector to hard when booting up,the tape blocks the excess magnetism and hey presto!

the reason why it does that is because the magnet on the disc case holding down the cd to the magnet on the drive is to strong. get a small round punch out circle sticker. and put that on the magnet on the drive. then scratch most of the sticker off then this will weaken the magnet so the drive will let it lose and eject it. once again poor m$ manufacturing
