  • what are the rifles they use?

  • running gut shot , pricks , nice farm deer to i must say , must be hard to get off the quad bike and open some gates to go "hunting"

  • Good second shot or lucky second shot? Hunting's about being patient too, mate. Hope you guys didn't waste the f-ing meat!

  • wants the gun stuffing up his arse

  • WTF is wrong with some people, this is a definite point where i draw a line between a "shooter" and a "hunter"--a hunter has respect

  • damn he didnt even flinch at 4:12

  • Don't care what anyone says. that was a great second shot. It's hard to hit a moving target!

  • @TheCdnAdventurer that was a lucky second shot , he already shot it in the guts , thats bullshit

  • Pot shooting a farm animal, can't call that hunting, fuckin murder "yay daddy I shot the animal in the guts!" CUnts

  • Buenisimo

  • poor deer...idiots who do such a bad shot are the worst hunters i can imagine...

  • it is awful! are these hunters or shootersß

  • embarrasing

  • why don't they just go to their

nearest zoo & shoot a caged animal.

i like americans think america is great

but those 3 what a bunch of inbreds.

  • wasted a bullet!! how ignorant if that deer had escaped i don't think he would have felt it was wasted, as he died in agony over the time of a week.

  • the boy should not taken the shot but i do not blame him i fell it was the guide who clearly told him to take the shot, very irresponsible guide.

bloody yanks paying to shoot deer that are almost tame!!

  • Im a kiwi lad and have hunted here for years- lets face it this animal isn't what we would call 'wild'. What you don't see is the fences, breeding of trophy stages and the money exchanged for heads like this. Shot placement aside can you really call this sport? Give credit where it is due- unfortunately not in this case.

  • Excellent video. You shouldn't take a running shot, UNLESS you are confident you can make it. This young hunter was. The first shot maybe showed a bit of the old "buck fever", but the next showed his ability. I wish the anti's would'nt mess up the site. We don't go on veggie sites just to be rude. For the young hunter, just consider the source, and ignore rude, or just ignorant postings.

  • I dont know why , but altough I hunt to, I don't like the vid, I think it's bad for the deer, I have this feeling that somethings wrong here , and im almost sure that its shot in a private park , where they give the animals hormons...

  • varmint527 - your a fucking chump, the muzzle was no way near the guid and that was two very good shots considering the circumstances, and WANKER CALL YOUR SELF A TRUE HUNTER IS A RED HIND NOT A DOE YOU FUCKING RETARD GROW SOME BALLS :D

  • Hey Cookie mate. Over in the UK Red Stags are as they are said and a Red female is called a HIND!!! Roe and Fallow are Bucks and Doe's (apart from the male fallow ehich is a stag, no idea why!?) along with Muntjac and CWD (Chinese Water Deer). Reds and Sika are hinds and stags.

  • For christ sake, what a pack of negative assholes there are on here.

    Nice running shot.

  • negative is one thing. Being responsible is another thing altogether.Last monday morning I had a red doe in my sights something simular to what you see in the clip here buti let her run.

    Why?

I know i would have hit her but how sure was i of hitting the killzone? you can plainly see that the first shot in the video is well outside the killzone and for this the kid is a fucking fool nothing more. What if the animal had of hooked left and dissapeared into the bush?

  • ....another thing i noticed is that the child practically sticks the muzzle of his rifle up the guides ass @3:25. Its plainly obvious here that experience is not the order of the day.

These fuckin yanks with their "package day out" hunting trips for a fee make me sick and give the genuine hunter a bad name. Theres too many wounded deer wondering around today because of cowboys like these

  • Good shooting. I would have taken the shot too.

    Cheers,

    Chamois Buck

  • Just maybe this kid is a good shot, I don't know anything about him and neither do 99% of the people slagging him.

I am guessing this hunt was on private land but so what. Let a few of these critics put up their own hunting vids.

Congratulations on a good shot son. I have shot a few animals myself and that was not easy.

  • Making judgement on shooting at running animals is a very hard call, do you ... or don't you... I know I would need to know a bit more than what the video shows to criticise that one.

  • The Dad doesn't know much about responsible shooting. He initially tells his son off for "wasting a bullet because you hit it with the first one"! Thing is, the first shot was a gut shot. I think the second one was a fluke too. Looks like he was probably leading it too short and it was lucky he hit it on the spine.

  • Very Very irresponsible shooter, i dont care if hes a kid ot not, the first shot should not have been taken, his dad is supposed to teach him to shoot a gun properly and this is obviously not a good example, if you can shoot properly, dont do it at all

  • What sort of guide or ghillie would give the okay to a running shot by a kid? So he can gut shot it? This is was a bad call and definately not a great adevert for stalking.

  • he rly should NOT hav taken that shot....i dont care if he managaed a second good shot...the first one was totaly unacceptable

  • what a poor shot. he should have never taken a shot whilst it was on the move. Lucky second shot.. seemed like it hit the spine..

  • The shot was not bad for a boy like that. The video jus show to people what's hunting in this times. Boy get's ewerything ready just pull the trigger... rich dady.. yeah. Red deer in NZ are wild but they have no fear.. they hunt them rarely and there are no predators, to kill red deer.Newzealanders just get some wolfs, bears or pumas in there :-)

  • i would have shot at it running or standing still as long as i got em, food for the family(mahi kai). but i dont get the priveledges of hunting managed deer. we hunt wild deer in our own country back yard. the bay of plenty

  • seeing shots like that make me feel sick to the stomach, his guide should have known better,or is it all driven on making money.shame on you

  • just a really poor shot, he shouldn't be shooting live quarry unless he can do it on paper, the guide should have been watching, and stopped him from taking the shot.

  • very lucky the second shot killed it. being shot through the intestines, it would take hours for a stag to die. if not days! not really a great advert for Land of Dreams!

  • y did u shoot it runnung thats not staking thats driven u shood of waited until it stoped! and the first shot was through thr guts!

  • theres a big difference between a driven deer and one running for cover when spooked,it was spooked-not driven.

  • u stil cud of waited for it 2 stop

  • yes thats true.if it did,fair comment.

  • why are there so many f**kwits out there?im from nz,and i congratulate the young guy 100%!!!the 1st shot didnt kill it-so what, thats where time and experience come into it!the 2nd shot f**ked it!!!you guys that are bagging the young guy should think back to when you where his age-did you get to go hunting or where you a crack shot 100% 1 shot kill marksman!i bet not!!!pull your heads out of your arses and dont try to burst his bubble for him you jealous shits.good stuff young guy.keep it up.

  • Once again the second shot was an absolute fluke! Ps when i was his age i was a crack shot coz my dad taught me and showed me how to do it properly!! Is that how you do it in nz? Go out and let kids shoot and wound deer right left and centre. Why not let them do a DMQ so they learn self control and know only to shoot at a motionless deer IE standing still. Maybe then you lot in nz could have the pleasure of watching a stag drop cleanly to the first well placed shot.....

  • if u listen to his acsent aloubear i dont think hez even from ne zealand so fuck up. u people have to come to our country to get big game

  • I would much rather stay right here in Scotland and shoot real, proper, wild stags!

  • fuck you chump he was a yank just like you all paid for no fucken hard work you soft fucken cocks

  • i coulndn't condemn that running shot less- it seemed to hut him in the gut just in front of the back leg- piss poor.

  • God, not another canned hunt!!!!!!

  • ok maybe he should have let it stop and the first shot was a little shady but that was an incredible second shot and an amazing stag.and if you ask me the blame falls to that stalker who told the kid to fire at him running.

  • He should most definately have let it stop! No maybe about it! The first shot was not a little shady, it was a 100 percent dreadful attempt. The second shot was even worse! Only by the grace of god and good luck did that stag drop. Maybe they all did forget their shotguns and their coon dogs that day! RIFLES WERE DESIGNED TO HIT MOTIONLESS TARGETS AND OR QUARRY AND THATS FACT!!!!!

  • If not for the fluke second shot that stag would have passed away in agony, possibly miles from where he was first hit. Wait for them to stop... If you did that kind of shooting on a scottish estate. Ye widnae be back. The old sayin that involves a BARN DOOR springs to mind..

  • that makes me sick. walking through a bloody paddock to shoot an animal like that. get real. go bush and do it properly!!

  • How much would it cost to hunt a deer like that? How can your pride handle it? I am ashamed to live in a country that lets people feed deer hormones then set yanks onto them in a paddock-what did he cost? 30 grand? Poor shooting to by the way.

  • Shet1:

Call me what you like chap. Its still a farm animal in a paddock what ever way you look at it.

Get a real job and stop trundling fat "Gomers" around the back paddock.

  • kid or no kid if he is old enough to hold a rifle hes old enough to take the resposabilty. i am a stalker in scotland and if we had a client shoot like that he would be asked to leave.all he had to do was wait for it to stop moving he proved he can do it on the sheep there was to much dick and not enough brain on the stag, we all know two inches higher on the second shot and he would have missed a stag the size of a house.

  • that was not a great shot it was bloody terrible, first shot hit the back leg second hit the saddle cutting the back, the fact that it took two shots is bad enough you people should learn to wait!! then maybe hit a vital organ. i am sick of watching your type hunt you have no respect for the animal your hunting and no clue how to hunt just see it and pull the trigger you do the world of hunting nothing but harm .

  • There are those that can track a deer, earn it's trust and get close enough to kill it with nothing more than a knife. They'd probably say the same thing about you. I'd agree it's not hunting in it's purest sense, but it was a good shot, for a young guy under pressure.

  • You could only earn the trust of a deer in new zealand mate! Just throw the big TAME stag a few handfulls of food, get it in range, make some strange whooping grunting sounds to get it running and then ask a youngster to have a pop at it! Stalking my arse....Irresponsible behaviour and no respect for a beautiful stag! I just wonder how many are fatally wounded. Makes real stalkers sick!!!

  • I think you completely missed my point. What we define as irresponsible isn't always what's humane or ethical. I've lived in NZ now for 11 years after moving from England and it's only since moving here that i've been able to walk out my back door and freely hunt wild game. These farmed animals are still wild, I'm starting to wonder if you've even been to NZ.

  • How can farmed animals be wild? That is not possible!

  • So explain why you can't farm wild animals? Game keepers have been doing it for hundreds of years in the UK.

  • wild deer do actually live in places like that-semi farm/scrub.aloubear-how many times have you been to nz to hunt those deer?i've hunted places like that and the deer are as wild as f**k!irresponsible?nah-a young guy taking the chance as it arrived.

  • Everyone has too learn somehow treebogan you complete cock sucker.

Nice stag in a beautiful country bro.

  • its in a paddock you idiot

  • What your mum or the deer?? That aint no paddock thats %100 pure NZ my friend, farm or forest!!

  • 100% pure nz paddock.open your eyes mate.they breed these stags for rich yanks to come over and shoot.you don't get stags like that in the wild in nz.your obviously not a kiwi hunter, if you were you would understand.

  • I grew up in Fiordland unregistereddog you pekka!

  • you grew up in fiordland???nice now its time to grow up

  • I agree

  • You shot a farm reared stag,on a farm,in a country that les you do the same in the wild for free?

    But actually hunting takes skill,that son,you don't have.Your a shooter.

  • how old r u man that was awesome. o and wat rifle were u using
