  • SPLIT man, flippin ell.....

  • 38yrs earlier, I would've been watching The Groundhogs in, what is now a Weatherpersons, The Fox on the Hill (same name though). just a half mile or so away from the Half Moon (a pub where I've been lucky enough to catch a load of bands, including the excellent Chicken Shack with Stan the Man).

Thanks for the video..........Love his Eagle comic t-shirt!...Tony McPhee doesn't look any different all these years later (a bit like Cliff, huh?).

  • tony mcphee, one of the most underestimated guitarist's ever, rock on forever tony.

  • Pure genius; I have been a fan for over 30 years. I wish he would come to Australia

  • When Cherry Red first came out I had to put it on full blast every morning before I went to work. Really got me going!

  • Aye Me too !! and Split 2 and Garden . Ive worn out 3 vinyl copies and got the remastered cds

great to see them still playing , check out the dvd of the original members , pete and ken reformed groundhogs last year , great stuff

  • love it

  • gaun yersel tony !! great to see you back gigging with the hogs

  • three lucky sevens. anyone have crosscut saw ?

  • Never saw them live, but I've still got the album "Split" on vinyl somewhere. Also loved a band called Budgie from that era.

  • I was introduced to the groundhogs and budgie at the same time when my older brother brought home a box of used records containing groundhogs black diamond and budgies impeckable. both albums are now in my digital collection as well as my vinyl.

  • You didn't happen to know Buddy at the Stereo Stop in New Rochelle, NY? Those were his two favorites which he turned us onto. I remember the days of waiting on his phone calls on new releases arriving - many 2nd US releases of bands such as Priest, UFO, Scorpions... along with Budgie and the Groundhogs. Good old days

  • Are you asking the question to scratchwhiplash above?

  • yeah, I was... sorry

  • Still playin' like the devil. Go, baby go.
