  • I find this hard to masturbate to

  • 4:20 Tetris theme C AND a squirrel?!? Thank you.

  • IMHO, too fast...

  • This is the finest rendition of the French Suites I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. I have owned this CD for many years, and I never grow tired of Gould's flawless performance. If J.S. Bach could have heard Gould, I dare say he would have been proud, and ever so slightly in awe. Did Bach or Gould have a "God Complex"? Let me tell you something, they were God! -CJW

  • Obviously squirrels.

  • i liked the overall performance, and its nice he doesn't use as many decorations as schaffe...

but he used too little in the first movement

and I wished that the left hand 8th notes were less stacato in the first movement and the retard was not there at the end of the first section

  • @Mathlete1000 Hey, handy capt people can go to live shows too man.

  • @MrPisster retard means to slow down at the end... is the proper use of the word ^^

and was your comment a joke???

  • @Mathlete1000 Hehe, I think you spelt it wrong. It's 'ritard' = short for 'ritardando'

  • nicely played BUT i didnt like d amt of stacatoo gould used in menuet......so i thought i could alternate each note like this taa tut ta tut taa tut..... is htisinterpretation of mine ok??????

  • Well, I only said that in a figurative way...

  • I AM playing dis 4 my grd5 exam!!

  • What a marriage.. heaven made it....Gould and Bach... Bach and Gould.... oh my....

  • Gould completely internalized Bach's music and can do no wrong.

  • I wish I could play like Glenn Gould!!! I love hearing his performances.

  • interesting, gould misses out a lot of ornaments here.

  • @naith1984 yes! but he also added some ornaments witch bach actually didn't wrote...

  • @naith1984 Rubbish, Gould is the ornament!

  • @KABRIS1 - what do u mean "rubbish"? He does miss out ornaments. Its not a dig, i happen to love Gould. And i love playing Bach.

  • @naith1984 Pardon me.

  • tetris c :D

  • @ 4:30ish, when the tetris song starts, the squirrel looks like he has just butchered his children.. blood everywhere...

  • @bigern545 Exactly:o It's a VERY angry squirrel:o

  • WONDERFULL!!!

Do you have any recordings of Gould playing Bach Prelude & Fugue in E Major?

  • Gould seems to want to rush through the music for some reason...

  • I love Glenn Gould, he does very interesting interpretations, but i don't like this particular recording of his. He blazes through the movements, and i'm not a particular fan of his phrasing because of that speed. definitely a fun recording to hear, but not one i think of as definitive. Not that there is such a thing as a definitive recording anyway. and, i actually agree with an earlier posting, Gould's recordings of Beethoven are...well, a bit out there. I still listen to them for fun though

  • apparantly i look and behave like him when i'm at a keybord instrument, i'm nowhere near as good a player as him thuogh

  • Glenn Gould did it really well. The best french suite #3 in b minor I've ever heard.

  • Glenn Gould seemed to have no left hand but two right hands with two brains attached to them.

  • @Hiroshima49 No one had Gould's left hand!

  • @KABRIS1 Yes indeed....that's why both of his hands are like right hands to the right-handed majority.

  • @Hiroshima49 Agreed!

  • @Hiroshima49

actually, he was lefty so maybe 2left hands.

  • @airmiumiu Yes, he certainly was.

  • I don't always like Gould's idiosyncrasies in his recordings of Bach, but this version of the French suites is superb!

  • Which version would you recommend?

  • What's up with the chipmunk. ._.?..

  • If you think he sucks, then why don't you post a video of yourself playing this in what you would consider the right way?

  • you're stupid

  • I Love his energy in the Courante.

The Allemande is very fast to me, it most be "moderato", but i like the other dances.

  • That squirrel is epic.

  • Gould:Unique, controversial, delightful, perplexing and NEVER imitated! I have learned and will continue to do so ! GOULD ROCKS! ( let's see:Gould, British Rock Group Queen, Alician DeLarrocha, Cleveland Orchestra, Luther College Nordic Choir, Canadian Brass, Jethro Tull, Cambridge Singers, More Queen, True Folk Music, Chanticleer, More Gould, Boston of the mid and late 70's, a world free from rap , more Gould and More people with his insight-- that's about it!
  • Bach is God!

  • Gould is Jesus :)

  • @superhipercarlos FUCKIN GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
