Not necessarily. Those two were, but players like Blake Wheeler, drafter by Phoenix in 04 played for the class A school, Blake HS. So players come out of both... its just more come out of AA because AA schools are bigger, and more players come from those schools... Like I explained above.

Basically the size of the schools. They had to divide schools by class sizes. AA schools are much larger than A schools, so in result have more players to chose from. Example being the class A school I went to. The coach only had to cut maybe 4 players from tryouts because there were just enough that tried out to make a full team. Where as a AA schools tryout may consist of so many players, dozens of players are cut, many of which are probably good enough to play for a smaller, A sized school.

They can be. There are quite a few A teams that can skate with and beat many AA teams. But again, the reason the schools AA is because of the number of students. And when you have more to pick from, you have a better talent to choose from. And with more talent on the ice, your going to be better than smaller A teams, that only have so many kids to pick from. Or in some cases, just enough kids, talented or not, to make up a full team.
