Excuse me. They are not people in your work place.. They are MEN. Therefore not representative of People,,, as you call your staff... which would equal 50% of gender.. No wonder my video TITS was removed. Tits are for babies was my message...you lot thought that INAPPROPRIATE. Shame on you !!
I like the concept but I'm a bit surprised that there was not a single question regarding health care. I thought it would be a big issue in USA, but I could very well be wrong.
I watch both CNN & Fox News just to hear the different nasty opinions republicans and democrats say about each other. Amazing. I remember 38 years ago, my grandfather and I were watching a news clip of my generation having fun at Woodstock on the news, when he said to me "Just imagine..someday those beauties will be running this country, and you should be afraid" I thought he was just being an old poop, but.. He was right..and I am afraid.
Of the "5,000+" responses u tube and CNN received...how is it that you found a HATE symbol (confederate flag) video to show????????? That was totally insulting to the candidates and all watchers of the program.....SHAME on CNN and u tube.
does this man or this group really take seriously their journalistic responsibility to American voters?? the debate tonight was just disgusting, particularly in how they ambushed Ron Paul with horribly stupid questions. the media has truly derailed our democracy and they need to be stopped
MSMedia picks the shittest questions off of YouTube - of course CNN then has a poll asking whether people or the media asks better questions - they want people to RELY on the media to ask the questions, so they show the worst questions asked by people on youtube. If you RELY on the MEDIA, then you RELY on them to THINK for YOU.
The people should be able to vote for which questions to be used on CNN, and to which candidate the question should be directed.
YouTubers voted on the best videos of 2006. It went smoothly. The results were acceptable to everyone. People vote on other stuff on the internet all the time. The technology is there; the enthusiasm is there. Can someone explain to me why the F#$%K YouTubers are judged incapable of selecting the best questions to ask at the debates? Are these dozen suits in a van really that much more worthy than you and me? Or do the debate-powers-that-be truly just detest democracy?
Of course these suits are worthier than you and me. It wouldn't take long before some puerile, nitwit YouTuber would say something like, "Show us your tits!" The good suits would never (0:50) pull such a stunt.
andhisband: I believe that they aren't more worthy. First of all, such a video would not be voted in by millions of YouTubers like you and me.
Secondly, it's not a question. Obviously, we should stipulate that any question video ask an actual question. There could easily be other simple rules, understood by all before voting took place, that would invalidate such a video. No blatant sexism or racism, for example. So what you raise is a non-issue.
good job on this video. see this site for 10 questions generated by youtube vote instead of cnn vote (or anyone else's vote). pretty much interesting relevant questions.
10questions dot com/ lots of people don't believe CNN has any business selecting the questions.
I agree. There's only one reason to leave CNN (or NPR, or any tiny committee) as the gatekeeper, and that's thought control. But there's proven machinery at YouTube for allowing us to select the best videos. Thanks for pointing out that site; I'll give it a look.
why do i feel a little bit of glee that the pros have a hard time dealing w putting our files on a big screen? yeah file conversion is a pain in the ass huh? lol, now i dont feel so bad!
yeah put the snowman on there! hey you asked us! thats youtube!
Someone said "behind the scenes", actually this is more important than that. It gives us a chance to see how TV information is created. Shows the hard work, massive technology and tough decisions they have to make to do this. Obviously the questions can't be random but I appreciate their honesty in showing us how its done. Great video!
Great behind-the-scenes look! THANKS for posting this! But obviously there's management going on, not a random access of Joe-average-American, (Or Josephine-average-American), asking the questions... it's all managed media, like the average person cannot ask a Republican or a Democrat a real question.......how has the media destroyed our democracy? Think about it.!
I've been inside a television production van. They constantly have someone attached to a phone so they can make spot decisions and if its not a large production van it can get really cramped.
so good and intresting

Hillary picked the gay Brigadier General.
Edwards picked the abortion question.
Obama picked the "Log Cabin Republican".
Richardson picked the Ron Paul 3rd party run question.

If you had proclaimed Democratic supporters ask the YouTube questions, how would they be any different???

Screw CNN, screw you, screw your crew, screw your process, and screw YouTube. YouTubers should have been the ones to pick the videos.

Hello,Peter.
Now I must have Hotforwords explain triage,as it was used / misused for a debate question choice.
What if a clip is a good question, yet doesn't fit whatever aim the CNN network might want to emphasize?
